Amour (Manchester) of Sundays

I'm considering going to Amour for the first time tomorrow.

The website says Sunday 4 - 7 pm is "free entry social", presumably this means no play, right?

That suits me fine as I just want to explore the place first before deciding to come another day.

Has anybody been to those socials? How does it work, is it similar to being in a club? Can you approach people for a chat? Is it the "can I buy you a drink" approach? Is there an expectation by the club that you'll stay on and "pay and play" as it says on the website?

Sorry, too many questions, but I'm just trying to get a clear idea from the punter's perspective.

The social time is just that, have a look around chat to the staff and the visitors. There are a few regulars and some people stay to play, others don't - there is no pressure or expectation to stay on. If you like what you see and choose to return another day that's fine, this is a very friendly an welcoming club.

1. There is no need to dress down. Come as u are, free entry.

2. They dont sell alcohol so if u want to bring ur own u can or they can sell u soft drinks.

3. Yes, u cant play during the social hours 4-7 but after 7 n u decide to stay its half price btwn 7-8pm.

4. Its a social/casual atmosphere, u get a guided tour around the place. Staff will answer any questions u would like to know.

5. Relax! Youll be looked after

We popped in the other Sunday while we were in Manchester for the afternoon.. Nice club, friendly staff, was a nice chilling couple of hours before we had to go the airport

Can only say positive things about this club and can't wait to go back
