Kestrels Questions

Twickenham

We are looking to go to Kestrels on a Wednesday lunchtime in a couple of weeks. Were very new to this, a little shy and nervous and was wondering if any females, couples could give us a general view of what happens there etc.

Were not looking to fully swap but Femme is looking to play with a lady if there is a connection with someone. How do you connect - do you literally say "shall we get it on" in a more polite way of course, do hands get touchy feely and how do you stop that if you don't want it - is a simple no okay, does it even happen. is there etiquette for this type of thing? If we want to have sex publicly can we, or in one of the rooms and do people join us or watch etc.

Really sorry for these type of questions but were really up for going and want to enjoy it as much as we can

Thanks.

" How do you connect - do you literally say "shall we get it on" in a more polite way of course, do hands get touchy feely and how do you stop that if you don't want it - is a simple no okay, does it even happen."

Yes it does happen. In our experience in all of the above ways lol.

We have started talking to people about the weather whilst making a drink in the refreshment hut and ended up playing with them, we have been playing in the pool and found ourselves next to a couple and an extra hand has appeared somewhere interesting. We have been in mid play in a room when a total stranger asked us “Can I come in?”. She was cute so we said yes, we had fun, she said thank you afterwards and disappeared.

If you are not interested whether your being touched or asked to play, a polite “no thank you” should be enough, though to make it easier we sometimes say, “not at the moment” especially if we as a couple have not had time to confer. If someone touches you or your partner and you do not want them to, just gently push the offending hand away, no more should be necessary.

" is there etiquette for this type of thing?"

Not really everybody does it their own way, in a sense that tells you about them which may help you decide whether your interested in them.

" If we want to have sex publicly can we, or in one of the rooms and do people join us or watch etc."

Yes . Most rooms are either open or have windows. However just because you play in an open room it does not mean others have a right to join in but be prepared for people to come in to open rooms whilst your playing. Some single guys can get quite close without invitation so if this would disturb you, use the voyeur room, in the house, or the hexagonal bed room in the dungeon, both of which have locked doors but viewing windows.

N&D have covered everything I think!

it's a fun chilled place to go, if the sun is out it's lovely relaxing in the garden whilst people watching.

you'll be able to suss out where you feel comfortable ~ they're are various lockable cabins that you can use, might be a good place to start.

have fun

Take the dreaded flipflops to reduce verrucas. Also if your shy, a sarong might help you to relax in between activities!

Good luck and enjoy.

Personally I found it all a bit seedy but I am a very fussy person so it may just not have been a great day to go. Very few people were playing in the play rooms which were just surrounded by single 'mature' guys wanking which I found really off putting. The dungeon is well equipped and the spa is very clean, I didn't play and felt much more comfortable just talking to couples and I felt under no pressure to be involved in any way it really is very relaxed but I suppose it really depends on what you like. I'm glad I went but wouldn't go again. Too many single men and not enough couples for me - I may however of had a better experience if I had gone with my lover or a group of girls just for fun - Good Luck x

I haven't been to Kestrels yet but I tried Eureka a couple of years ago and didn't like it much. Very cliquey, dirty shower area, no food on offer at all apart from some rather crappy hot dogs (the type that are from a tin in water)and the lockers were so tiny I couldn't fit my shoes or jacket in and had to leave them lying around in there, as did several others! Maybe going in the winter is a bad idea as there'd be far more space if you could use the outdoor area but I think indoors Kestrels sounds bigger.

I feel the same - I didn't like Eurekas the couple of times we went (once in the evening and once during the day) We felt it was cliquey and didn't like having a trail of elderly single men following us through the woods in the hope of getting an eyeful of us playing (we didn't).

We thought it felt like a 1970s caravan club - but that's OUR perspective and dyed-in-the-wool Eurekas fans will say something completely different.

People will say they don't like Kestrels whereas we do.

As with everything else though, people will have preferences... viva la difference I say

Interesting views .. I want to get to Kestrels sometime in the near future when time allows (Eurekas probably a little too far) and I'll go as a lone male.

But I definitely don't want to be one of those lurking around the action uninvited having a wank (and more to the point, following / stalking people around hoping to Perve) - it all sounds a little seedy? (Always happy to watch if invited though, ha)

I want to go and relax, chill, hopefully fit in and have a good social time - anything sexual not a pre-requisite.

As a single male will a newbie be able to fit in and be accepted, or will the cliques take over and so it's a case of 'join the stalkers' or be isolated??

Sorry if this all sounds a little naive ..

Single guys who smile and strike up a conversation seem to be readily accepted. Small talk to get the conversation rolling will pay dividends. You may not always get to play but you'll be perceived as a guy who is friendly and has more on his mind than just going balls deep. That will increase your chances of being invited to join in if couples subsequently see you in a play area.

closer than you think

It's nervous for anyone going alone, whether it be the 1st time or not.

I find even going as a single female can be daunting and each time is different.

A smile works wonders especially if you are sat in the jacuzzi or swimming pool or even just sat around. A lot of males make the mistake of not even saying hello to couples/females and expect to join in any fun ..... really what's that all about If talking to a couple, make sure you talk to both of them lol

I know some people find it hard to start conversation but like anything in life, you only get out of it what you put in

Go on ..... be brave and enjoy lol

Not sure it is fair to criticise Eurekas from a visit 2 years ago. In the past year new owners have upgraded all play rooms and are continuously making improvements amd working really hard. It is definitely best in the summer months when the outdoor areas and pool can be really enjoyed. Kestrels is great all year round but they are very different places.

I'm off to Kestrels today after watching Grand Prix on TV. Just love the place. All venues are different but visits in the past have found other visitors very sociable. Also had some very nice 'play' sessions in all areas of this place. Staff team are wonderful too.

Who else is going today?

Most of the replies here are correct and answer your questions perfectly. First rule no means no.

Yes you can play anywhere at kestrels. You will be watched (voyeurs) everywhere except in the private rooms. If you don't want the audience getting to close but still want to be seen then as already said there are rooms with viewing windows. If you want to be grouped then go in the darkroom....you can see a thing !

Yes there are single sad guys who on a quiet day follow couples round hoping to join in - (they really annoy me as well) however if it's busy they are too busy to annoy everybody. But yes they give all us single guys a bad name, personally I hate it when they try to get close, I'm the one walking in the other direction when this happens. Yes i want to watch but I don't wish to spoil any body's fun.

Overall kestrels is great you'll have fun just take it slowly and don't be afraid to say go away! In the unlikely event you have to.

Hi I went during the summer and it was great .... all very easy going. I was sitting on the side of one of the beds just watching and was invited to join in and had an amazing time! .

Now the sun has gone it might be a little bit different as there is obviously no sun bathing but I am sure it will be fine.

I am hoping to go again in a couple of weeks! All the best Bunny

Haha! I thought we were the only people to call single males"meerkats".

We love Kestrels! We never feel unduly pressured and most people that go are courteous and respectful. Rooms with a lock are comforting .

We love being watched playing but to date have not invited others to join us. We just wish we could visit more frequently and for longer each time!!

We hope to go tomorrow!

"ok so next question is its now October and getting a little chilly. Outside sunbathing wont be happening so is there lots of inside space?"

In the house two rooms both lockable but one has one way mirror looking in (voyeur room), plus small lounge, open room with platform bed.

Then behind the outdoor hot tub there are three small well heated cabins with small windows but lockable doors and hut 69 which has large windows overlooking hot tub. Swimming pool and covered outdoor smoking and socialising area.

At the end of the gardens are six more huts, heated and lockable but with windows and in at least one, glory holes. Then there is the stable block. Dark room, swing room, stags head room with v large platform bed both open door. Hexagonal bed room with lockable door but has window in, People have been known to cover this with a towel even though management request you do not.

Toilet. Cage room (platform bed inside cage so very open but watchers not able to touch but you may get offers lol), Harem room (lots of cushions on floor beds and dark but open door), Spiders Web room (rope spiders web and UV light ideal for tie and tease but open door), lounge, massage room (massage couch and lockable door with window as hexagon room)

"Ah i didn't know the house was open at all during the day, interesting!"

The only times I've known the house to be open during the day was on special even days (like Wimbledon). Usually you can go as far as the toilets and no further.

Has it changed now then?

I adore Kestrels, but I usually take a friend and use it more like a spa with rooms.

You get a locker, with a large towel. Clothes off, towel on, recommend flip flops. Ladies a sarong or like if they do not want to wear towel only when walking around.

In the summer naked sunbathing with others around the open pool or in the meadow. The hot tub near the tea room is popular too in summer. In the winter warm in the pool, or hot tub.

A few garden sheds with lockable doors for fun. Often single men wanking outside, go away usually works, or invite them in.

I very it as a naked spa, just chill, relax, chat. I was there on Jan 4th a few years back in a winter storm ... Amazing, so horny !!

I have also managed all over pink through sunbathing ...

Always leave very relaxed, just as a spa should. So, I would suggest go there to chill out, no expectations (its not a brothel) and chat to people. I think its busier on the afternoons that Abfab happens at 6 as people come for the afternoon and stay on for the evening. I've not done that as yet.... I've also never tried the dungeon. The pool, hot tub, shower, sauna, sun lounger and shagging sheds ... There is so much more.

As the fair weather members head off into hibernation, Kestrels character in winter changes. You will get used to seeing the same faces on your visits but people are more likely to talk to each other. Most or my friendships from Ks have been made during the colder months.

There is something magical about sitting in the hot tub on a dark and cold winters afternoon, steam coming off your body as you you get out and move quickly to the swimming pool. As the sunsets earlier the pool is often dark with steam floating from it and often you can't see what's happening but can hear laughter and sounds of playing.

Just bring a decent fleece dressing gown and you'll be fine.

"Thinking about visiting next monday during the say. Will it be empty ?"

Depends on the weather. If the weather is cold and damp there will less people, yesterday was quiet compared to recent Mondays but those there were sociable and playing, the b alance of single men to couples was sensible and the day had a good vibe.

"Now that single males are allowed into Kestrel on a Saturday"

I am sure if I am wrong somebody will be happy to correct me but I think single males have always been allowed in to Kestrels on a Saturday. And every other day of the week.

As such I think its likely that there will be single guys there, there always are on the days we have visited. As to numbers nobody can accurately predict that.

I suppose it depends how long you've been a member but, originally, males were not permitted on a Saturday at Kestrels. My question was really whether the word had got around and males are now attending. We went on one Saturday about 18 months ago and there were no males to be seen

We were hoping that someone with experience of Saturday visits to Kestrel could indicate whether males are turning up. Obviously, one cannot say for sure how many would be there.

Is it definitely Kestrels you're talking about and not AbFabs (same place - night-time name)?

Saturdays is couples only at AbFabs - we've been going to Kestrels for several years and single males have always been allowed on every day since we've been attending.

We've always found plenty of single guys to play with when we've gone whatever the day.

Thanks Emm n Zed - a sensible reply at last. We've been members almost since Kestrel/Ab Fab began and had some superb visits there. We dropped out of visiting Ab Fab because we found too many cliques forming so just used our Kestrel membership.

Sadly, the founder died and we found that the ambiance changed after that. A particular group started using Kestrel, essentially dominating (physically) the club by being overly noisy and displacing many established members.

After a bit of a break, we had decided to give the place another go but, to be honest, recent correspondence in this forum suggests they are still there and as disrespectful as ever (Jurassic park?).

We're grateful, nonetheless, for your help.

"how big are the lockers at Kestrels? Also can we take small bottles of prosecco with us for example to drink? thanks."

The lockers are a reasonable size. Most people put their drinks in the fridges though and label them - unfortunately you do get unscrupulous twats who help themselves occasionally. It's less likely to happen if you put your labelled drink in a carrier bag and then in the fridge. Chancers are more likely to take a cheeky glass of wine if it's unbagged near the front of the fridge.

But yes - you can store drinks in your locker if you prefer. I'd advise you not to take expensive drink - or too much. Nobody welcomes people who are legless by the end of the day / evening.

"Do you wander round the house as well in the day in just a towel?"

Some people walk about in the nude - most wear a towel, robe or sarong. Of course, it's naked only in the pool and hot tubs.

I'd NEVER walk about naked (don't have the body for it) but Zed does wander about in the buff at times.
