What's the general consensus on which is best? Iv tried both and edge toward clubF. The spa is a fun place to socialise. Just wondered what others preferred.

Will definitely give it a try sometime. Love trying new clubs. I'm (her) from the North West and we are spoilt for choice

I've been to both but only ever go to Vivente now. It suits us and is nearer. The fact that they are constantly adding new rooms and extending the building means that there's always something new to look forward to.

It's good that they keep developing vivente. Good competition for Clubf.

Newcastle and Gateshead

i dont think it has to be a case of "either/of" and these types of threads kinda infuriate be because they tend to turn into something tribal...

you can't tell me that because there are no clubs between edinburgh to the north and scarborough/leeds to the south that with that large a potential catchment areas the two clubs can't co-exist peacefully and friendly

I am just glad that we have two good clubs, and both strive to get better

some people will like one more than the other, human nature... the fact we have clubs good enough that people can try them both and choose what works for them is the best thing

For crying out loud. An innocent thread and you try turning it into something "infuriating". Nobody suggested you had to only go to one!! I merely asked which people preferred. As for making it "tribal" I hardly think clubf will be fighting vivente in something akin to a scene from braveheart. Competition is good. It keeps them on their toes. They both have good points.and have to improve and keep evolving to keep ahead. It was a harmless question. Thanks for your input.

Can I just add to this thread.

As previous members of clubf (8 years in fact) we found it to be a great club and still is and we strive to be as successful as them. We wanted to venture out and do something a little different when we decided to open vivente which is why most of our members are clubf members too and bounce between the two, which is great because everyone likes choice

Exactly. We love both places for different reasons. Both are highly recommended. It's not wrong to have a preference though.

The atmosphere was good at vivente even though was a little quiet when we went. Seems more if a younger crowd.

We have been to both clubs, and although we enjoyed Club F, we have become regulars at Vivente now. As several people have already said on this post, the two clubs are not in direct competition as they both offer something a little different to one another. For us, what keeps us coming back to Vivente above everything else is the atmosphere, as well as what we feel is a much younger crowd.

Bottom line for us, is we like Club F, but we LOVE Vivente!

we been to both club f when was in sunderland , the club f in stanley to and same place years agan before it was club f and a private members club , only reason we aint bn back was they would not honour our life time membership pased over by last club owner so go to vivente even though aint bn for cpl of weeks due to cpl of issues , imo both offer different things rooms taste ect and its good to have 2 up and running clubs in the region club established where viventes just starting to find its feet and is up and coming but adding different things in such a short time .

Club F is well worth the 150 mile drive up. How far away us ClubF from vivente (Geography was never my strong point!)

This is an interesting post! And I am not going to point out the less attractive bits of vivente! I dont think thats particularly helpful as all places are different and every night is different and it also can depend on the members themselves about how clicky a place is.

Swingers are generally a pretty friendly bunch of people and if you talk to people they generally talk back, so less of the clicky talk eh!

We know the people that run Vivente, we have no issues with having another club close by, its good for everyone to have choice about where to go. We communicate regularly and have a good working relationship, thats great, we have good working relationships with lots of clubs and visit them where possible.

Some people say competition is a good thing , well I am not sure as I like to think we are pretty much on our toes anyway! But thats just my opinion and I am obviously biased...if there is enough of a catchment area for both clubs to survive, then competition just gives everyone different choices.

I am unsure when we have refused to offer a lifetime membership though? We always have in the past if we can find you in the membership list and it confirms lifetime members, we really do have lots of lifetime members that were granted by john and have always honoured? Am puzzled by that but please feel free to contact me privately with your details and I will check.

Two clubs in the North East is great for everyone, lets not make it a competition, we can all be friends and everyone can try each place surely?

define a click ? tbh we been we been to clubs all over and there can be clicks in most clubs , its up to you as a cpl/single to get the most out of what you want out of clublife .if you sit there and dont interact it wont work for you . the distance between the 2 clubs makes access from all areas easy so works out for both. i nar id rather live in a area wheres theres 2 clubs than just the 1 saves travel if you want different choices .

It was also a good point please both clubs stay friendly ?

Some of the posts from other areas have real problems between local clubs?

I'm sure that all involved realise that it's not just healthy competition it's the ability to encourage more members by the pleasant surroundings by two great clubs to have in our area !

And at some point I'm looking to try both out ? ( just need the nerve lol )

Both clubs are friendly with each other, thats the whole point!

We never say anything bad about Vivente, I send lots of people down there, especially when people ring and are below our age limit.

It isnt tribal, we try and be positive about everything and if we have not got anything nice to say, we say nothing.

We love Vivente, we want them to suceed, it gives everyone choices and its good for the swinging scene.

People should and people do try both clubs, and lets not forget that every night in every club is different, and the beauty of the swinging scene is that every club is different as well.

If people seem defensive its because they care.

I am slowly trying every club and long may my journey continue! It was Isis in Leeds last week and its our place for fun in London next week

It's great that both clubs are supportive of each other. Makes for a better scene. Nothing worse than bitchin amongst clubs that see each other as rivals.
