No I don't think it is as I am sure there was uproar when it was found there was a swingers 'club' in a student type area in Bristol and it didn't last long after that

I dont think its necessarily the council objecting, but local residents. If they allow it they must keep above the.law as their every move will be scrutinised.

No, some councils will not given permission for swingers clubs or fetish clubs. Unbelievably, Liverpool council will not give permission for clubs and the one that we used to have was closed down. Sefton won't give permission and Halton won't either.

Townhouse is on the Wirral and our council have been brilliant especially with our recent upgrade in licensing. However, they did tell us that it would be highly unlikely that they would approve another club in our area. They also told us that councils are clamping down on the current clubs around the country, ensuring that they are above board and have the correct licenses.

I find it odd that some councils (like manchester) seem to allow loads of clubs on the doorstep, yet others won't have it at all.

I believe that Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire are the same which was why xotic xtreme were just over the border in Derbyshire...I've been reliably informed that Lincolnshire absolutely will not have any clubs despite there being some ideal places to have them...they'd rather have derelict buildings...

My response should have read 'Wirral council will NOT approve another club in the area'.

Really should learn to proof read my replies! ffs! lol Sorry!
