Couples night

We have been asked by a few people if we would be holding a couples night.

Would there be interest if we were to hold one every two weeks on a Thursday evening from 7?

We have advertised that Thursday will be a couples night but if the majority express they would prefer a Friday we will change this

By doing couples night at a weekend your going to put off some single girls as even though we do enjoy playing with couples we also like the choice of playing with single guys. I personally think a weekday is a better choice.

My thoughts on this (from a single guy perspective):

1) As long as "couples night" is exactly that, ie not "couples and single girls" otherwise you might as well call it "couples and single girls".

2) Most clubs have their couples nights on Saturdays, meaning while single guys all have choices of venue on a Friday, tend to be stumped on a Saturday. By holding a couples night on a Friday, the single guys have Saturday available and the couples that only want couples have somewhere to go on the Friday also - everyone wins.

Just my tuppence.

I think that most of us are tolerant of a few single girls attending on a couples night compared with the larger number of single males on mixed nights (one club says they "limit" the number of single males to 30!!).

A couples night on a Friday seems a good idea. At Cupids it is on Wednesday and at Partners it is on Thursday and Sunday - so a Friday adds another opportunity.

We haven't been to Amour yet (prevented last Sunday by illness) but intend to do so soon.

I think that a couples night say every fortnight on a Friday is a great idea. I don't know of another northern club that has a couples only on a Fri or Sat. Partners do the Thursday and Sunday but you have work the next day on both of them nights so it can be a pain. We are looking forward to sampling Amour as the reviews all seem very positive. Well done x
