Didnt venture there on Saturday night but after reading the old thread in the Swinging Club and Events section just wondered why they advertised the Grand Opening night on Saturday 7th June then another Grand Opening this Saturday.Sound like the club was not ready in time for the opening night which could easily have posed a Health and Safety risk. It was a shame the people turned up there and had to que up and wait also the people who left and went onto other clubs (lost customers).May visit this club in a few months when it is established.

We went saturday night and had a ball with 2 other cpls, played in every room yes it was the opening night and they had a few gliches. We made our own minds up to stay We have been to a few clubs that are fully up and running and wont be going back to a couple ov them each to their own we say. Give this club a chance and iam sure it will be a great club. And we are going back saturday

we couldnt believe the opening party was so disorganised, at 7pm you put up that it wasnt going to open until 9pm. we had already left home so didnt see the update. when we got there there was no signage to show where the club was, if it hadnt been for the workmen we wouldnt have known where it was the street was filthy we saw rats and there was dog mess everywhere. we left and went to another club, as did numerous other couples.

THIS IS NO WAY TO RUN A CLUB !

Ohhh no dog shit in the street

I've seen a can outside of one club and a dis-guarded newspaper on the street, outside of another club...this is appalling!!...

I'm sure that those that don't judge by others opinions, will attend this (new) club and judge for themselves. I myself am hoping to attend on Wednesday...I will however, tred carefully to avoid the shit.

I went on Saturday and had a fantastic time. Sure things weren't perfect and there were some last minute jobs that needed sorting, but that was more than made up for by the lovely staff and the fantastic atmosphere they created for the masses of people in there. Great work guys and thanks again for a fun-filled night xx

Honest but fair judgement...

Personally I wouldnt have opened the club until details like astetics of the club were sorted. staff roles designated and website and signs up for the club. This would have made for a smoother opening night. But once announce the show must go on as they say.

However for those who stayed and gave the club a chance the atmosphere was lovely. The playrooms were kept spotless and the service from staff was helpful and welcoming.

Every new venture has teething problems..hopefully people will keep this in mind and give the guys a chance to rectify issues which have been hilighted and make this Into a great local club.

i think this thread ties into the issues in the club review section.....

those who have reviewed the club... as opposed to those that have reviewed the night..

and then when negative comments are made, vaild, constructive or otherwise, people jump in as if they have to defend the honour

Well im relatively new to swingers clubs and altho I now attend a few local ones and some not so local ones fairly regularly, I dont really have the club loyalty that some people seem to have on here.

I say it as I see it when it comes to reviews.

As for my oppinions, on the night enquired about, and the club in general people will either apreciate them or not.

We went on Saturday and had an amazing night!! The staff were brilliant, the rooms we're clean and inviting and the atmosphere from those that stuck around was great! I think it's not fair to judge on minor problems that aren't going to be consistent! It was their opening night so course they had a few little bits that didn't go as planned!! The paints not going to be wet every week is it!! As for the couples we went with - WOW!! We'll take you guys back in the disco room anytime you like xx

This!

The club can't help it if the smells of paint, nothing they can do about it. Bit petty if you ask me

I went for first time last night and whilst quiet, a jolly good time was had by all. I can confirm there is no smell of paint and that the club is looking very good. Yes, there's still a few bits a pieces that need sorting, but nothing major, and even established clubs have a maintenance schedule such that there's always something that needs doing.

people seem to forget about that! After visiting several clubs in the north west and west midlands, I've seen plenty of maintenance issues, but I understand that its always an ongoing issue and dont let it bother me, unless its a risky or health and safety problem.

Theres always people with an agenda to slag off rival clubs, with petty stuff.

I think it's a little unfair to slag a club off when they had some glitches on their first night...it's a team effort to get a venue ready and sometimes it breaks down. Yes, maybe they should have waited until they were absolutely ready but they had advertised the opening date and probably didn't want to let people down.

If people knew how much work goes on behind the scenes to even open the doors every night at a swingers club never mind coordinate a big event, then they wouldn't be so quick to criticise.

Yes, there may be some things that the club could have done differently but this was their first night guys!! Give them a break!

It's bloody hard work to run a club and make/keep it safe when so many people cross the threshold, so a little bit of understanding and support wouldn't go amiss, especially when there are so many other clubs in the Manchester area, they need all the support they can get!

Good luck to Amour from Townhouse xxxxx

I agree, I think people underestimate the work, cost and stress that goes into opening a new club like this. Its certainly not an easy business to get into and all too often (and over the years) I have heard people say, I could open a club, how difficult could it be? well if it was so easy, why doesn't everyone else do it. Having had 6 months of building work on our new club, living and breathing it everyday to get it as right as you possibly can, the least people can do is be patient, respectful and understanding. its all too easy isn't it, to have your bath, get your best clothes on, do your makeup, turn up at a club then moan and criticise. We had to cancel our first opening date and the eventual night was so overwhelming and stressful, I retreated in a corner and cried. I wish these hosts the best of luck. Vivente x

It is lovely to see messages of support from other clubs. It can't be easy to get any new business up and running so well done to all at Amour. Surely having another good club to go to is great for the swinging community.

Great new addition to the club scene!

Clearly a few noses have been put out of joint judging by some of the farcical comments on here.

Perhaps if you channeled your efforts into your own club then you wouldn't need to worry.

Great to see the positive comments from other club owners

Have yet to properly visit - but a while back called by and was given a friendly welcome and a tour about - looked very good and of a high standard

I am concerned that it is yet another club in an already well provided for area, but time will tell

Like others who have posted this comment, I am really pleased to see other clubs posting messages of support - a very sensible approach

No doubt the smell of fresh paint will have cleared by now ....
