All of the clubs we have been to are not set up for wheel chair users. Although the downstairs part has the bar and social area, all of the play rooms have been upstairs.

On a positive note, have you considered coming to swingfields this year? It is an outdoor (camping/caravaning)event. Access to various areas may be a bit tricky as it is on grass and tracks but it is all on one level.

Hope this helps a little (Dan)

Cheers Dan much appreciated.

Swingfields would be amazing but a few drops of rain and we'd be shafted. Plus camping not that appropriate for our particular circumstances

Cheers agAin

There is a lady in a wheelchair that regularly visits AbFabs very successfully. Given that it is all on one level but does have small level changes, door sills etc I assume it is manageable with a partner.

Paradise Spa, Romford?

I've been once before, can't remember it's layout that well, but I equally don't remember any steps.

Please don't quote me on this, my memory is shocking.

I would say Abfabs all areas apart from some of the cabins would be very accessible.

The dungeons area and play rooms are very very accessible and plenty of space to spread out.

Adventures in Lust, Stoke.

They have stairs going into the club, so that may be an issue, but I'm sure the staff would help. They do have a wheelchair lift inside the club though.

Leicester

We've been to Liberty Elite a couple of times when there was someone in a wheelchair there. The upstairs playrooms aren't accessible but all the rest of the club is on one level and they had a removable ramp to deal with the small step leading down from the bar area. It might be a good idea to give them a call if Leicestershire is within your travelling range

I have just been thinking and chameleons in Newport Wales has a play room downstairs. although the majority are upstairs, the bar social area, jacuzzi and cinema (play room, which susie and I have played in in the past) are all down stairs. it is only open on a Fri night as a swingers club but may be worth giving them a call, or check them out online (Dan)

London

LIBERTY ELITE would be perfect for you, plus there is a hotel on site too, its almost all on one level, you would only miss three playrooms upstairs.

The the Vanilla Alternative is very accessible, ramp outside and all on one level ( apart from the actual hotel rooms, which not needed when going to the club, unless you are staying overnight.)

As a weekly visitor to Vanilla Alternative (near Bedford) I can confirm that the club is very wheelchair friendly. I have seen visitors in wheelchairs making full use of the club and thoroughly enjoying themselves. If in doubt, just give the family run club a telephone call to discuss any possible issues. I am sure they will be only too pleased to assist.

Thanks so much lovely people

Looks like we will be losing our clubbing virginity this year after all. Liberty Elite, AbFabs & VA sounding favourable.

Quite a trek to any of these so will have to make a weekend of it

Well if your going to go large for your club cherry popping, remember that most of the Ab Fab facilities are available everyday as Kestrels

http://www.fabswingers.com/clubs/138

so you could always do it daytime on your way to or from one or both of the other two.

I mean you might as well make the most of travelling all that way

Can provide flat wheelchair access, from private parking area, into club, main bar, dancefloor area, smoking and toilets, with a small 2 step ramp down into all the playrooms and dungeon area. (We have the ramp). You won't be able to get to the top lounge, Jacuzzi, or dogging area however as they all involve more steps. Happy to provide staff to assist as well. Hope that helps.

Apparently it`s on the top floor of an otherwise un-occupied office block that doesn`t have a working lift!

As a member of stadia I can verify that I have seen wheelchair users in there on more than one occasion. It depends on the event and what you are looking for. Playrooms/dungeon are downstairs. Access to main area includes stairs and not sure how the wheelchair users got in but they did.

Does anyone know of any clubs in the north west of England that are wheelchair accessible? I'd love to go to a club, but the ones I've rung are not accessible
