Killing Kittens? City Slickers Parties? SDC Parties? Fill your boots... if you're sexy and slim enough

Create your own 'wobble/unsexy-free' night. I'm sure it'll be popular.

Needs work on the branding then. It threw up a few interesting private responses so perhaps it will be a discreet market.

I'll get working on a logo and strapline..

In my experience most club nights are Ssw nights as that's the norm in clubs, so there isn't really a demand for a dedicated night. However if you want to set it up then fill your boots, you'll have guys lining up round the block to go.

Can I just ask, what's the cut off point for slim, size 10, 12 or 14?

Which clubs are those then? The ones I've attended have been a mixed bag but while there are dedicated BBW nights I've yet to see the alternative.

As for size why would there be a cut off? They don't have a weigh in for BBW nights do they, so why would there need to be a restriction for this?

I think slim like BBW means different things to different people so the struggle will be there.

There are lots of elitist nights and events though across the country that people have mentioned above and these might better cater for what you're after.

I dont see why having an SSW night should make it an elitist thing? No one ever calls the bbw nights elitist.

Why is it seen as elitist for slim women wanting a night but not bbw's?

You must have an image in your head as to what is slim or BBW in your preference, or else you wouldn't be seeking what you are and would be happy in the normal club environment of mixed bodies...!

Because if you didn't, they wouldn't be SSW nights but just 'an average night in a club'. People's perception of what is slim and sexy differs so you might end up with people there who are a size 14 - which someone else would say is fat. Then there's the perception of sexy... tanned? Pale? Tattooed? There would have to be parameters set by the organisers and a filtering process to make sure only true SSW got through the net... Oh hello Killing Kittens!

"Which clubs are those then? The ones I've attended have been a mixed bag but while there are dedicated BBW nights I've yet to see the alternative."

Chameleons on a normal day, partners, liaisons, one in Brighton, kestrels to name a few I've been too.

"As for size why would there be a cut ? don't have a weigh in for BBW nights do they, so why would there need to be a restriction for this?"

Because if you didn't, what's to stop someone of my size or bigger going?

The thing I like about BBW events is that the are inclusive not exclusive. Everyone is welcome regardless of size, shape etc. Also BBW is a very wide (no pun intended) as women of 12 to 34 consider themself to be BBW.

I'm sure there is a demand for SSW nights but I struggle to see how it would work without a size limit. Is a size 18 allowed to go? I mean she would be slim compared to me?

Maybe I'm over thinking this.

Anyway, good luck with your idea.

It's not a difficult concept. BBW nights seem to work just fine without the need to have specific criteria. They're branded to attract people that identify themselves that way so why couldn't an SSW themed night do the same?

If you feel a desire for slim equates to some form of elitism the issue is with your own perception of what may be considered elite.

Those places already mentioned, and with which I'm familiar, are a good argument to provide events for people that seek slimmer people but not necessarily with the associations of those membership parties.

Your thoughts are rather contradictory! There has to be a cut off point, or it's the same as any other night...

In that case what's the point of a BBW night?

Do they have a minimum weight/size?

"In that case what's the point of a BBW night?

No - but men who have a penchant for bigger women KNOW there will be plenty of them there as well as some slim ones... and the bigger women KNOW that men who genuinely like wobbles and curves will be attending. But many of those men will usually ALSO like slim women so everyone stands a chance of playing. That's the point of a BBW night. Hope that helps.

Have been to a lot of clubs and to be honest I've found that its often hard to tell whether a BBW night is in progress compared to other nights. Maybe an SSW night would attract those people who prefer their women slim, same as BBW nights are perceived to attract men who prefer larger women! Who knows??

Reply privatelyReply in forumReply +quote

How does it help?

So it's ok to have a BBW night that anyone can attend and nobody has an issue with. But an SSW night should have stipulated requirements?

What tosh.

If I know a night is a BBW night I'll avoid it because it's not for me. I'd expect most others would choose to do likewise for a theme if it didn't appeal to them for whatever reason.

Exactly - and that's what I've experienced too in most cases.

To be date I've had a size 8 woman want to be on my guest list for the bbw night cos a load of her friends were going lol

Every bbw night I've been to or put on has never had exclusive run of the venue and there is always a great variety of sizes there.

Personally I cannot see an issue with running these nights just the same.

I don't have an issue with the idea, I know everyone has a type. I was just curious as to what constitued a SSW as it's a new term to me. BBW is a more established term & has a more widely known understanding.

^^^ This.

As a bigger woman myself, have no issue with events being held in favour of slimmer woman. As for criteria - different people hold different opinions on what 'slim and sexy' means but generally, most people would know roughly where slim becomes BBW although there would probably be a fuzzy grey area in the middle - no big deal. I have to say though, you seem to have more of an issue with BBW nights than us wobbly birds have with the prospect of a SSW night. Why not approach a club and suggest it?

Could you approach a local club and ask if you could organise it via the forums here? I think that's what happens for the Chams BBW events. Maybe club owners wouldn't relish organising it themselves but would be happy to take the income generated if someone else did it.

Oops, misguided by the acronym in the title. I thought SSW meant Super Size Women, as in the so called Goddess size.

I suppose because it came in the wake of the BBW night which I sadly missed. I thought this was taking it a notch up.

For me slim would be single digit sizes like 6 and 8, and of course the dreaded size zero. Hmmm, if you're slimmer than Mrs Beckham, does that make you a negative number in size!!!

I personally think that slim figures are not as appealing to men as some may think.

OP why don't you just put a description of your idea of a sexy slim looking woman.

If you just did that in the beginning I'm guessing this thread would have been somewhat different.

I don't consider myself a bbw nor would I put myself in the ssw category. This in mind I personally wouldn't go to either events but curious to know what group you would put me in.

Don't worry I don't offend easily

"

Maybe this is the reason why clubs don't hold ssw nights, just not enough people interested in attending. Most clubs would prefer a normal club night where they know that they will have a good mixed crowd. Rather this than a small group on a theme that holds little interest for many of their clientele

Because the discussion I was interested in was whether any clubs already ran such nights - not what I suspect is desired which is a slagging match about thin vs fat. You can define yourself as you wish. If you really crave my personal opinion, no I don't think you're slim.

The comments about slim being single figures is just the usual boring nonsense. Do most men prefer bigger women? Maybe - over half the population is overweight now so perhaps that is true. Certainly on this site I think there are more larger women than smaller, so perhaps 'slim' will become a niche fetish kind of thing. I don't mind being a fetish

OOh I like slim women,

My Mrs is curvy but a 12-14.

No clubs dont cater for normal or slim women. We haven't been to one of our favourite clubs in a while as they seem to be marketing at the bbw crowd.

Which if that makes financial sense to them is fine.

Personally I dont like bigger women. She doesn't like big women or big men.

And in all honesty a lot of the men I know would rather play with a slim/medium woman and only play with bigger women because they can.

(shoot me now but I'm honest about my preferences)

Pre children I was a slim athletic build 10/12 as I did a lot of dancing but single figures in my honest opinion is not a healthy size for a woman of my height.

Strangely I had less body confidence than I do now.

I do agree that perhaps there should be a night for the more slender lady I know organised party nights do like the slimmer girl but never known any in clubs to be just for the ssw
