Just thought it would be interesting to see which clubs out of the loads that are in the clubs reviews section get a mention in this forum.

Would be interesting to get an opinion on whether people think that it's these clubs that are the most popular, and/or the ones who are best at getting their club hyped up?

Below in rank order are the clubs mentioned in the thread titles at the time of posting this message, and the number of threads that relate to them...

Great question.

If you have a good club people will talk about it. You can't necessarily hype it up.

It's interesting that the top 3 are the biggest.

Number of thread titles does not relate to amount of conversation about a club. Neither though with some clubs does the number of posts as the bulk of the posts on some threads are just the club promoters and their friends chatting and constantly bumping the thread in to view.

Some clubs seem to have chatty regulars, others not, nothing of significance can be inferred from this other than possibly the nature of the crowd at a club.

Having said that, at the club we use, the difference in the sort of people regularly attending is vastly dependant upon time of day and day of week.

Interesting post - but FAB members must also be fully aware that this is not the only swingers site out there ..

In fact, a number of clubs / communities have their own website / membership database (and some people don't even use the internet to discuss their private lives)

So, lack of forum activity here, doesn't necessary bear any reflection on guest attendance

What I've noticed in the past have been the "X-Club Wednesday", "X-Club Thursday", "X-Club Friday", "X-Club Saturday Afternoon", etc etc etc threads, which it has to be said ARE different threads, started by (apparently - to be proved/disproved) different people.

As they say, all publicity is good publicity, to lets see if this forum is more about answering peoples queries and questions or if it's about the hype. Because if it's about the hype is it fair on those clubs who don't get a mention on here that they kept out of the public consciousness? Should there maybe be a one thread per club limit?

Without any evidence gathering, questions like this can't be answered properly, so lets see how things go.

To be honest we frequent 3 clubs on a fairly regular basis and we have met a lot of people who are not on any web site at all, so number of posts about clubs does not correlate to how busy or good the club is

In statistical terms what you are saying is that Fab only accounts for a "sample" of the "population" of swingers. Which is true.

HOWEVER as a community within itself, FAB can be seen as a population too, and if a sample of the "FAB Population" shows a bias towards one club or another it may be seen as representative of the overall Swinging population of which FAB is itself a sample. What needs to be established is whether the FAB membership sample IS representative of the overall population of swingers.

Any ideas how that can be established?
