"Strange that there are so few places to go in London while there are masses in the Manchester area. Does this say something about people in the North compared to people in the South?" No. The demand is there but getting a club licensed appears ridiculously difficult.

"I can think of three reasons why there are no swinger clubs in Central London: 1. Westminster council is conservative (with a big C and a small c) and they make licensing very difficult for any business they consider 'iffy', 2. property rental prices are astronomical, 3. A club would attract a massive amount of negative attention from the London-based press (imagine what the Evening Standard would make of it). It would be full of journalists trying to spot politicians and celebs. It's a real pity we don't have a more accepting and liberal attitude, like in cities such as Paris and Berlin, but I can't see it changing anytime soon." This is why Erotica was always so bloody tame. They did have total nudity on the stage one year and had to stop it the following year.
