I know you can smoke inside Arousals, anywhere else? Or have you been to any other private clubs where smoking is permitted?

Jaydees have a sort of inside smoking area - there's a designated smoking 'room' which is attached to the club. Apart from that it's a great place to go and socialise as well as have lots of naughty fun

when was the last time u went to arousals though hun???? they took alot of imput from non- smokers ( even though me and hubby are smokers ) and they had added huge extractor fans so those who don't smoke hardly feel it at all!

some of these places with outside but enclosed smoking rooms can even get to us smokers if the fans arn't put on to get rid of it

"I had a smoking room in a holiday inn, were they breaking the law? "

No. Hotels (for now) are allowed to have smoking rooms. When in Blackpool we use the Savoy which is part of the Britannia group. Most (if not all) of their hotels have some smoking rooms.

I'm glad I stumbled across this thread. Any other clubs that allow it? Just so I know of course, to make sure I never waste my time going there.

I'm a smoker and to be honest I even like the smoking ban, there is a smoking room at la chambre and I couldn't even go inside it was that smokey not very pleasent and in the other side some of our best play times at chameleons are from people we have started chatting to in the smoking area

"xtasias have an enclosed smoking room.

Its not completely enclosed - its at the rear of the club, off the main dance area - and has seating, heaters (and fleeces available) and there's no rear wall - although it's not overlooked and mainly covered by a large, ventilated sheet.

Drinks can be taken there and there's a lot of socialising goes on - even the non smokers use the area to chill down.

The entire club itself is, of course, non smoking - so for the non smokers out there you're 100% safe!

Someone explain why rest of society has to and rightky dies abide by lsw on smoking ban and yet because a place is called a swinging club its ok.

End of day if law on this is being broken then those allowing it on premises are responsible for any breaches.

I have been to a club so no axe to grind with swinging clubs my gripe is the ones that allow smoking which is banned.

No sympathy for owners that get caught out.

Private members clubs of all type be swingers or vanilla have the option to alowe smoking inside their clubs, its down to the owners. All public pubs have a smoking band

village between York and Hull

The ones we have been to.

Xstasia has a large covered private are outside, it is done that well you would not think you were outside!

Partners old minibus outside.

New liaisons non

Cupids - non

Chameleons roof terrace and covered area

Townhouse outside covered area

Adventures covered outside area

Liberty outside covered area

La chambra covered outside area

Yo utopia covered outside area

Issis dedicated room

Club f separate conservatory

New paradise covered outside area

Adam and Eve's loft area

Those are the ones I can think of at the minute. Cupids sell disposable electronic cigs behind the bar which helps! As a smoker I personally think the smoking ban in clubs is excellent and especially at Cupids it has made a big difference as the smell used to drift through the club. Xstasia probably has the best area, well covered and well heated.

"Private members clubs of all type be swingers or vanilla have the option to alowe smoking inside their clubs, its down to the owners. All public pubs have a smoking band "

Unless they have a bar licence then no matter what the law states you can’t smoke anywhere on the premises.

Having said that the Houses of Parliament have a bar in the basement and you can smoke in that bar only, (one rule for them and another for the rest, yet again) you never see MPs outside having a quick smoke do you. Some say it’s because it’s a residence or because it’s a crown building but that’s bollocks.

Private non licensed clubs can designate a well ventilated place (not a room) away from the rest of the club to use as a smoking area, so long as it’s not near anywhere else in the club.

Now everyone has named quite a few clubs that allow smoking I wonder how long it will be before they all get a visit from their council offices or the law with an invitation to appear in court ?

We should be careful what we wish for. While we all may find our activities (swinging), carried out by consenting adults, who have a choice acceptable, i'm sure there are enough people in the country who would disagree and object.

I thought the smoking ban was brought into to protect the rights of the workers, who have to be there, not the public, who can make the choice to go there.

Theoretically , if no one is paid , as these clubs say the fee just covers expenses , and greedy and singe girls don't get paid . It's legal to smoke in them

The smoking ban inside is to protect employees from second hand smoke
