some like it, others find its not for them.

if you are one of the latter ones, move along and go to another more suited, or stop going to them all together is the club thing isnt for you.

i reckon this could get rather nasty as there are some very polarised opinions on the different clubs.

good luck to ya lol

Lol..

I recently went and found it a really nice venue.. Very comfy, with lots of playrooms and areas to be sociable.

Wore shorts and had towel around shoulders so didn't feel massively naked (accept in jacuzzi). Would certainly go again if opportunity arose

I would say best club in uk as people go ........ Some clubs on a normal weekend 20/30 there and dead . Chams loads go every weekend so you know it will be fun on a weekend as lots there .Could have the best club around but if no ones there .. its no fun. Theres no 5 star clubs in the uk and chams looks nothing from outside but the staff are lovely and lots of rooms for fun .. has a erotic feel. from me.

we arent interested in chams as i feel men are at a disadvantage.

women can dress sexy whereas men have to sit in shorts or a towel.

not a fan.

at least if you dress nice you can let your personality get your further than someone walking past you without giving you half a chance

personal opinions, nothing more

With 100s there most weeks they have something very right going on at this club ... like I said we have no 5 star clubs in the uk but I feel people make a club. I have been to a lot and each one could do with 1000s spending on them .. chams they do things like paint and change things but maybe don't wish to close it down .. with health and safety they would have too if doing a lot of work .OP have you ever got ready been to a club and only a handful of people there and they are not for you ... its a BIG let down you come away thinking god what a waste of time and money chams in over 8 years never had a bad night and that's the truth on a Friday and a sat.

just a question as i dont know.

is chams a 7 day aweek club?

is there no opportunity to do things on say a monday and tuesday when it wouldnt be busy?

i agree it would be ridiculous to expect it to close on a weekend for a lick of paint

I like the fact pretty much everyone ends in a towel. To be honest I spend most of my time in a towel.

As to the decor and beds.. we have mentioned it to the staff but they do things as they can. If people would not wear heels on the beds they wouldn't get ripped.

We have not really had a bad time there though.

Nowhere is perfect and Chams is far from perfect but having visited a number of Clubs around the UK we find it better than many.

Improvements can always be made and one thing we wish for is that the music was piped around the whole venue rather than just downstairs. Music can be great for creating a sexy environment.

Like the vast majority of posters, I really like Chams - it's relaxed and welcoming

And for me the towel thing just removes a layer of separation between people. Not just literally, but in the sense that it makes everyone that bit more alike which can be missing in clothed clubs where you can get people looking each other up and down in a really judgemental way. Just a personal opinion (probably based on the fact that I normally dress like Wurzel Gummidge).

A lot come 100s of miles like us to get to this club. And over the years meet people from overseas there too .. We don't stay overnight there as like a really good hotel that's 5 mins in taxi and the rooms are really good and the food so we make a night or a weekend and found that works for us.

I see what you're saying and no you shouldn't have to but maybe it might gear them up to do something sooner if people speak up? Just saying...

We will be honest if we find anything that's a problem and let the owners/management know.

I like chams

Found the staff very pleasant, and helpful

The amount of facilities they provide is also a huge plus for me - 2 jacuzzis, sauna, steam room, cinema, numerous play rooms, the secluded sun terrace is lots of fun in the summer etc etc

There is a lot you get for your money, for the swinging scene

Occasionally you may find one of the jaccuzzis closed for maintainance, and since I`ve been going the kitchen has been replaced although most wouldn`t have seen it, plus the sun deck and extra hotel rooms were added without the club being closed. You do additionally see small changes in the decor from time to time. Considering how busy the club can be I reckon they do a bloody magnificent job in turning the club around each morning and cleaning all the occupied hotel rooms.

We travel 2 hours to get to Chams and always have a good time and it always has a good mix of friendly people. We prefer it that you have to strip down as soon as you get in and find it breaks down barriers, also we have found in other clubs it's a bit off putting when you are playing and you are being watched by fully clothed people who haven't stripped down. I guess everybody is different and some people won't enjoy the stripping down to a towel or undies straight away. Never had any unwanted touching or stares when we have been stripped down at Chams.

Before starting a thread on this forum complaining about it?

Simply ...... yes.

But as the staff have accounts on here and read the forums, they now know what you think anyways.

I wonder if this is why the clubs always state 'the management has the right to refuse entry'

Having been to a now closed club that had the dressed downstairs/play upstairs policy, I found I didn`t feel I was even at a swingers club. It wasn`t until a guy with a towel round him came down to the bar for a drink was there any hint of what was going on! I`m not saying I wouldn`t go to such a club as I am waiting for an opportunity for myself and a friend to go to Xtasia, but only for one of the Foam Parties!

Not as in boisterous rough!

It's a bit dated, very dark, groups of men sometimes walk around like packs - all luck of the draw as to who goes etc. but we enjoy the occasional visit and prefer to go at quieter times.

We have been to many clubs where it can be rather confusing people dressed wandering round whilst others playing,

We have visited chams for the last six years, and every visit lifts us up for days afterwards, we too make the long journey, so its always best to stay the night, we book a room there, and make it into a mini break, you can spend the night how you want, never no pressure, and how many clubs bring you breakfast in bed, Haha

we see what others don't, early every morning, there is an army of cleaners that clean the club from top to bottom, as for the towel,s that everyone has mentioned, they are always fresh and clean, and you can ask for a fresh one as often as you want, some guys wear shorts, and the ladies year anything from a towel, sexy underwear Phew, to short skirts and mini dresses. The single men, well you only have to shake your head as a no thanks, and that's it, they know the club rule, so they are so respectful to everyone,

we have been a few times and not played, not that there is any pressure, but we enjoy the friendly company of people there, and find it so relaxing just to be ourselves,

for those of you who didn't make it on new years eve, well you really did miss a good night hehe

Xxx

"It's a bit dated, very dark, groups of men sometimes walk around like packs - all luck of the draw as to who goes etc. but we enjoy the occasional visit and prefer to go at quieter times."

But ... you get this in any club. Its difficult to find a club where EVERY guy follows the etiquette, sad but true.

should be there tonight as well. I love Chams. The staff are awesome and soon fix any issues you have, it's a lot cleaner than other places I have been to and the jacuzzi is lovely :D

I do like Chams and have not been to any other club so cant compare it but what i like about it is that if people wear towels then everyone is equal so there is no one looking to see what expensive stuff someone else is wearing

However i do find is a bit expensive nowadays especially as its not exactly modern and sometimes isnt very clean ! There have also been times when we have paid to get in and found that none of the jacuzzis are working (we go mainly to use them) and we werent told of this at the door nor were we charged less !

However i would still go Chams rather than anywhere else mainly due to the use of towels

We love it there.

We have not been to any other club in case we are disappointed.

We love the fact that everyone, no matter what back ground, race colour, size or age always has a warm welcome.

The staff are friendly, we have always had a good night.

We would recommend this club to anyone.

Xx

Been for many years and found some thing new each time. The owner spends lots of money keeping it looking nice. Have been to many other clubs and can't say the same about them.

"Ive never been .. I don't like the idea of having to walk around in my underwear though

"

Neither do i fancy the idea of walking round in my underwear, hence i have a see through skirt and nice basque or i wear a large towel.

Try it

As for like or love it, horses for courses.

see, but thats it.

its all geared to women looking their best, and then the best looking guys look even better.

dont think all the women with bits they like to hide with underwear would enjoy it so much if they had to sit half naked all night like the blokes

Never been, and probably never will as long as the dress code remains as is. I'm definitely not shy! Been butt naked in front of 50 strangers at a party, but... only when I chose to be so.

What's the logic behind the dress code for guys?

On the flip side, I've been very very uncomfortable coming out of a pool butt naked and coming face to face with men fully dressed

Towels or shorts for men means they dont wander round in clothes. (ie play rooms)

I've walked round in medium dress's short dress's, underwear, towelling robe, flimsy bits of material and a variety of 'states of undress' That wouldn't work so well if people were sat in street clothes

I have always felt very welcomed and well-looked after whenever I went on my own.

Im sure it does. I wouldn't get naked/semi naked in a club without good water facilities. But then i don't go to a 'dry club' & bitch about the dress code. If i go to a dry club i wear longer dresses & as i like 'wet clubs' i stick to those sort

East midlands

We went last weekend for the first time and really enjoyed ourselves.

My fella was happy to walk around in boxers. During the day I wore a black baby doll with contrast lingerie underneath and in the evening I dressed up a little more by wearing a corset..suspender skirt etc. I felt very comfortable as it was a mix of the same or people just in towels.

I dreaded not being able to wear a dress but surprisingly felt very much at ease..
