Well those that go.. NOW I am sure everyone will say its not them... but honestly last night several playrooms Lee and I went into were left in quite a state.. and this is by no means exclusive to LC.

Chams is the same... and its just not on.. I always wipe up and clear away a room after I have played in one... And it doesnt really take much.. So please if you use a playroom be it open or private ( find the private rooms to be the worst to be honest)

CLEAN UP AFTER YOURSELVES...

I wanted to use the glory hole at LC last night but it was in such a state it put me off and changed my mind.

I totally agree, I went to Cupids last night and I do get pretty wet, so I always use the paper towel supplied and clean up and i even re arrange the throws and cushions like it was my own house!

People who don't clean up after themselves in clubs is one of my pet peeves. How rude and disrespectful can they be?

It only takes a few minutes to use the disinfectant spray and wipe the play surface clean. And every room in most clubs has a bin - how hard is it to put used condoms in it?

We always leave any room we've used in the condition we'd like to find it - clean and tidy!

I often believe this is a big part of what makes a good club different from an excellent club (the attention to detail).

The worst club we have experienced for this has been AB fabs where rooms/areas were used left in a state and then just left like that for the night.

Conversely the best has been ourplace4fun where they basically have a team of staff who clear bins/areas on constant patrol all night.

I agree it would be nice if people took personal responsibility but imo expecting d*unk overly sexed people to "do the right thing" is just wishful thinking and it remains very much in the hands of the club to make sure the areas are patrolled and cleaned through the night.

Can't blame the clubs though, it's the individuals who leave room on a mess in first place, takes ten seconds to put condom in a bin, and 30 secs to wipe a bed, come on peeps, thinks about others, we all wanna have fun you know

To be fair not all clubs have stuff to clean the beds. Minimum should be sprays and paper to clean the beds but staff need to check too. As I've found that rooms can be in a state for a while.

I think when a club relies on others to clean up after themselves there will always be mess.

Some people are lazy, some people really don't care and think that others should clean up after them. Some don't even notice the mess.

Being devil's advocate, do you clean the public toilets after you use them? Yes, disgusting not putting condoms in bin but clubs need to a. Provide cleaning equipment for those who want to clean up b. Provide staff to check and clean up (people do pay to enter these premises after all).

Clubs have to take some responsibility as well as those making the mess

I certainly wouldn't leave a mess in a public toilet, but same as I wouldn't use the room, I wouldn't use a public toilet if it were a mess either.

There is no excuse for not cleaning up after yourself at a club... It's basic manners..

And as I said, the club also has responsibilities for ensuring place is clean. Providing equipment to clean up is a must but also employing staff to go round ensuring the place is clean. That is why you find toilets in shopping centred etc are inspected and vlean frequently. They know they will need cleaning so a regime is put in place, you commenting that the rooms at LC can get messy therefore management should have a system inplace to regularly check and clean. This is not condoning the dirty twats who make the mess, it will never change so management need to step in and provide somewhere clean to play in.

This is our pet hate as well, we were at our club once and had a rough count each time we went to the loo (we based it on how often the hand dryer was used) ime afraid to say the ladies turned out to be the biggest culprits.

I think you have to be aware that the club scene has its drawbacks on the hygiene front?

Couple of instances stick in my mind the first being a couple who had been in open play with two guys who almost immediately after they had finished playing went to the buffet and helped themselves to the fayre. On the other occasion I saw a lady pleasure two gentlemen to completion in the pool, despite signs to the contrary, which left deposits in said pool. Needless to say I did not avail myself of the food nor felt inclined to go for a dip in the pool!

We've had to clean up rooms both before and after using them on a few occasions - fortunately not every room is left in a disgusting state. The worst was at Chams when we visited a while back - it was a large private lockable room and when we walked in we were faces with what looked like spunk Armageddon - plus the stench was unbearable (some lady with BV I suspect). We couldn't face staying and left.

On the pool / hot-tub front ... realising that some people are inconsiderate enough to 'play to completion' in there, I make sure I never submerge my face / head as I hate to think what might be going in my eyes or mouth - and I shower when I get out.

I think it's a bit like using public toilets - if you want to use the facility you just have to be aware that 'some' people are disgusting toe-rags and take whatever measures you can to minimise the risk to yourself.

It won't put us off going to clubs though - we just stay vigilant and don't assume people have the same high standards of hygiene and levels of consideration as ourselves.

To be fair it's not all clubs, I can name a few that have always been spotless, sprays and wipes provided.

From my experience its the bigger clubs that don't seem to be kept clean, and agree more staff needed to ensure kept clean, equipment for cleaning should be in all clubs. Dont write off visiting a club on one forum post

We go to 2 clubs, VA and Tease and have never encountered this problem. To me that is very much a reflection on the clubs staff and ethics as it is the customers. People shouldn't leave a mess - totally unjustifiable but the sad reality is that some will and surely all clubs recognise that and have a reponsibility to keep things clean for other customers?

Absolutely right! We'd never DREAM of expecting others to clean up after us! The staff at clubs should certainly check rooms and make sure bins don't need emptying and that there is plenty of stuff available for cleaning up but I don't think they should be expected to wipe up cum and dispose of used condoms left by inconsiderate knuckle draggers

It does seem to be so variable, both in terms of clubs paying attention to detail and providing supplies and a big enough bin, and with the level of courtesy (call it what you will....) of other people using the rooms.

Just recently, we've been to a club which was very professional in every other aspect - except not a single paper towel or spray in any of them rooms... oh dear... , and also been to another which had a great supply of everything (!) but let down by a ridiculously small bin provided which had already overflowed (yes, I know I should have looked before using the room..) and putting our own tissues on the steadily growing 'hillock' was bordering on a H&S issue... not nice....

ted.

congratulations Cali you managed to read but not take anything I have said in.

I think its disgusting but I also think expecting people to all be clean hygienic and considerate is stupid, this is not the world we all live in and with this in mind a club (a good club) should have people patrolling the areas making sure they clean all night.

DO you think this ranty forum thread is going to achieve anything ? do you think the people who left those areas in that state are going to go "hmm that was us I have realised the error of my ways thanks to the internet!".

People will be people and expecting them to be anything else is a little bit naive, just go into a public toilet sometime and have a look at the disgusting state they are left in, people don't suddenly stop being people cause they are all part of the wonderful swingers club

Sorry but I don't think it's stupid to expect people to be considerate... Not in the slightest.. as it doesn't happen at all clubs.. mostly because people tend to follow by example.

And no one will admit to having not cleaned up but it may make someone think twice.. it may make club staff Rethink... It may not but well such is life.

In an ideal would people would be considerate wonderful people who all care about everyone else and their experience. In the real world people get very d*unk, very horny and common decency goes out the window.

For me the responsibility to deal with this lies with the clubs, either they pout policy's in place (ie if you're seeing leaving an area in a shit state you get banned, or more active staff that clean areas through the night).

Expecting people to be anything other than people is very naive is all especially when d*unk and horny.

You're right in that I think the thread needs a bit of balance. SOME people are inconsiderate and dirty, OCCASIONALLY we've found a room left in a less-than-ideal state ... but generally we haven't found it a major problem and most clubs aren't filthy and seedy. If they were we wouldn't attend and we do on a regular basis.

It would be a shame if people were put off trying a club because they could potentially find a room in a bit of a mess ... if that happened they wouldn't be expected to clean it - they could report it to the staff who I'm sure would only be too happy to sort it out. We just do it if we find it because it's quicker.

We did find a puddle of red wine on a vinyl play surface once and felt that needed something a bit more substantial than some kitchen roll and spray disinfectant so told the staff and they were right on it with the proper cleaning equipment with no fuss whatsoever.

Many of the clubs we have visited have been incredibly clean. Adventures in lust, Atlantis, LC, Ourplace4fun have been clean throughout the night (staff lead).

If someone is using a thread like this and such a small sample size to influence their decisions then they are being a little bit ridiculous and over the top.

Rule of thumb with playrooms in ANY club:

Always walkout having left the room in a state you would want to find it as if you were the next person to come in to use it.

If that doesn't make sense to anyone... then you're one of the messy ones

I suppose I have to say, like any establishment I'm paying my entry to use the premises not for its upkeep.

A restaurant doesnt want its customers cleaning tables etc

on routine checks, for health and safety reasons, a staff member would be able to close a room for lets say 10-15mins have it cleaned up every hr at least?- I dont think its too much to ask?

yes people should be using bins provided.

and my last point, if there are any jobs going for cleaning on the nite...I'd do it lol

I hardly think thats Cali's fault, shes entitled to post her thoughts and comments about the club if they are how she sees things, I dont see anyone coming to the deffence saying " oh no your wrong as I visit there every week and the rooms are always spottless"

As for the "stupid" and " niave" comments above, I think you should look at the way you see things if you honestly think anyone should clean up other peoples "sex jucies" and that staff would know just at that right moment when one group of people leave a room and another group wish to use it! Ive seen people waiting for ages for rooms and its one in and one out!

Yes I know there are some mucky buggers out there who think that because they pay into a club and they can leave whatever mess they like, well for those people.... next time the room you want to use isnt clean enough then think about it, next time you move over and roll into an unknown wet patch... serves you right

My biggest irritation at clubs is guys who don't practice personal hygiene. Nothing more off-putting while you're trying to enjoy yourself than the smell of BO or last night's curry. Guys, most (if not all) clubs have a shower - USE IT.

"We were considering a club meet but this has put us off the whole idea Sounds disgusting"

Not every club is like that. This thread is a bit of a generalisation.

Really shouldn't be put off, not every club is dirty all the time, just some nights worse than others.

I think point Cali is trying to make is that all club users should be more considerate and think of others using facilities to, not just their own 10 minutes of pleasure.

And if this thread makes a few people more aware, then great.

Club owners though, especially bigger clubs, please do more staff patrols of play rooms, as from my experience it does seen that bigger clubs are ones that left in messy states.

And chams, cleaning supplies in all rooms, I went recently on a day time, only two rooms had paper towels, no sprays in any of the rooms

Please don't let it put you off. Not all clubs are the same - in fact, the majority of clubs in the UK are really nice places to go!

It's not always like that.. I put this thread up because as a regular club attendee I don't find it acceptable... Had it been my first visit it would have likely been my last...

I go to a club at least once a week, sometimes more... And this is first time I've felt the need to comment so openly about it.. basically as it was particularly bad...

The good visits far outweigh the bad.... This is more a rant at the fact that people can be so inconsiderate. But guess it's the same as those that chuck rubbish everywhere at picnic sites etc.

And it can happen one night but not on most nights - I've had a similar issue at both of the mentioned clubs but it's very rare. But like many annoyances if it happens once in a night then that's the night it happens three times! Probably cos the same people are doing it in different rooms...

Most club goers clear up after themselves and it's just a handful who don't.

i think it's up to club goers to bring it to the managements attention if they find a room in an unacceptable state.

I went into the showers at the club I was at last night to find a used condom lying in the middle of the floor, which had obviously previously been up someone's Bournville Boulevard. Not many things ick me out, but that...eeeeew!

I was at LC on Friday and it's the worst I've seen it in 14 months of going there !! As for chams ive always been told this is the best club in Britain but tbh everytime I've been it had used condoms left either on the rooms by the side of the jacuzzi or outside on the sundeck !!! And there has never in my 10 times of going been any sprays in the room just toilet roll ... Love both clubs but what does it hurt to clean up after yourself

I think where Chams is concerned people confuse best with most popular or largest.

Chams is our local club and we have only ever had problems in private rooms twice that were left in a state. We reported immediately to staff who went rubber gloved up and cleaned up. Can I ask if those having problems of any description bother to inform staff there and then or do they just moan after? The times it seems to get out of hand is on party nights when staff are worked to the bone. However as cali says if people cleaned up after themselves there would be no need for these things to be reported. Would you leave your own rooms in that state at home or find it acceptable if someone you took home for a meet left dirty condoms everywhere and body fluids everywhere without warning. It is down to the customers to leave rooms how they expect to find it.

There is a reason it's so popular tho and has a good reputation and it's because it's a good club having been to several over the country it is the best we have been to. We recently went to 2 up north both had problems with cleanliness despite one being almost empty apart from 5 other couples in and 2 staff sat doing nothing all night. It's the people in the clubs not the clubs.

We have spray kitchen roll baby wipes in every room.

The staff try to get in the room after it has been played in to check. But busier night thisis not always possible.

But it does help the clubs if people tidy up and wipe down after themselves. In case the room gets occupied before the staff get to check it.

But I would like to say and thank all our costumers as they do keep our rooms clean rarely do the rooms get left in a mess.
