I wish clubs had bangles to let you know what people are into

Red - bi

Black - straight

Pink - gay

Green - not playing etc etc

Would be great for nervous newbs, and can be worn without clothing

What does the forum think?

We are considering this as an option here, guest preference of course, but think the code system should be for soft swing, hard swing, non-involved, etc as couples, rather than a sexual indicator. Might just make those intro chats a little easier. Will watch this thread with interest.

Why not

Red and yellow ..... straight / soft swing

Dont care what colours are used just from our only experience so far it would have made it a lot more comfortable experience and would increase our likely hood of playing.

On a couples night you'd know instantly what another couples likes are, more importantly on a mixed night a bangle could signify what you dont want (single males for example), could even wear combination of bangles to cover scenario's.

If it were our choice.

We'd go with....

Soft swing, Hard Swing, Not playing, and Bi/Bi Curious.

We do think that an indication of Bi sexuality would help. Mrs P has been disappointed more than once when the lady of a couple we've been talking to has said she's straight after spending time chatting. It would help to know beforehand.

For us the bi side would be important and would like an indicator.

And on mixed nights an indicator to say couples only would work, wouldn't go to a mixed night in case of hassle, indicator would help

Reading

A system of bands has been used at our local club for a while.

They are glow bands.

Orange is for newbies and those who don't want to be approached by single guys.

Green is you want to be approached by anyone.

There are colours inbetween

this is something we have thought aabout too, very hard to know who wants what in clubs, we think a simple band selection would be helpful and save a lot of time too and embarasement if you ask someone for something they don't like , we like the idea.

I attended a club in Lelystad Netherlands called Go Go Nuts a few years ago (It was eventually taken over by the Le Baron group of clubs)

On certain nights... One Glow band was issued to single guys only, the guys would give you their glow bang as they called it, in exchange for a fuck (after all girls that’s what we're there for!) at the end of the night you received 20 euros in return for each glow bang you handed in. Now thats what you call a win-win-win situation!

Also on mixed nights, a colour to show couples who are looking for single guys..at least this gives the single guys a chance to see who to approach.

Whether I'm playing or not depends on if anyone takes my fancy - if lots do I'm at it all night, if noone does I just socialise and go home.

So being asked to choose on entry if I want to play or not would be impractical.

Bloody hell - my arm isn't long enough for all the bands I'd have to wear!

Not everyone sits in one category. For example - we are a couple who play with single bi guys and maybe soft swing with bi couples. So we couldn't wear a 'couple looking for couples' one unless we also wore a soft swing - but we don't 'just' soft swing ... threesomes or moresomes with bi men is what we're primarily after.

It's a good idea but I think bands should reflect who you are and not what you're looking for. It would have to be simple.

Also, you'd have to take into consideration lighting levels ... red/amber, blue/green would look pretty similar in a dim light.

Think this is a great idea.

Now not being known for not being chatty ahem i think this would give folks an opener to maybe start chatting.

i take on board what some folk are saying about labeling but presumably if you wanted to use the old fashioned chat to folk system you would not need to wear a bracelet.

i have spoke to hundreds of people who are quite nervous at the club and sit in the corner. I think this would give people easy openers. " oh i see your looking for".

Anything that helps people have a good expierience of the clubs cant be a bad thing.

For us, it'd be useful to be able to spot bi guys on non-bi nights. Yes, we do the socialising thing but it's a pain to be chatting to a guy, he gets all keen then we ask 'are you bi?' he says no and it's game over ... disappointing for him and us.

Also, some guys then shadow us after we've said 'thanks but no thanks', maybe in the hope we'll suddenly change our preferred form of play based purely on their witty repartee.

I think as xstasia mentioned, having it as an option would probably keep everyone happy.

The problem is, it's like on here, you specify an "interest" on your profile and some take that to mean - that's what your looking for! - which maybe the case, but may not be.

When we go to a club, we have no set agenda, whatever will be will be, whether that's with a couple or singles or whatever.

So we'd just opt out.

We go to a house party that has a wrist band system..

Green We play

Yellow We could be tempted

Red Not playing

Blue Bi

Its a bit of fun and give people an idea, if nothing else.

We think its a good idea and cut out wasting peoples time etc.. That being said it's good to talk to everyone and include everyone...

I don't think it's a waste of time and chat to lots of people with no expectation of ever playing with them. As a new 'clubber' though, I found it a bit daunting. Coded bands would have helped me, in fact, I did ask management if they had ever used them. They said people didn't bother with them so it was a waste of time.

I think it's a good idea and certainly we've seen similar work in Fet clubs. I think in larger clubs it could be a huge perk.

But it does have it's downside. It could only be used in the broadest of terms, it would potentially stop people socializing, and personally we are very fluid in how we play. Our proffered dynamic is full swap with a bi female but it's by nomeans essential.

Primary colour dictates what you are.

RED........... STRAIGHT.

BLUE......... FULL BI/GAY/LESBIAN

YELLOW..... CURIOUS.

Bangle 2

Secondary colour dictates what level of play you will go to.

Orange....... full swing/anything and everything.

Purple........ soft swing/ light moderate play.

Green...... Not playing.

The above worn by everybody.

Couple... bifem/straight male

Couple... fem playing/ male not.

Black neck ribbon.... newbi

White neck ribbon.... TV/CD

FETISH NIGHT. AS ABOVE BUT

Light blue neck ribbon..Sub

Hellfire club does this, using ultra-violet wrist bands so they can be seen in the dark. Brilliant idea...

To us the best solution is to

implement it as a completely voluntary thing,

keep it simple,

make it colourblind proof

and go from there,

all input from club owners valued
