Me and hubby are going to Amsterdam this weekend and wondering if there are any good clubs or places we should visit? Any tip would be very appreciated. We are staying for two nights. Friday- Sunday. Cheers

Try Fata-Morgana which is on the outskirts of Amsterdam. Strictly for Couples Only. Very highly recommend.

Fata-morgana sounds good, we are going 16th and looking for a club to try. Did you guys take taxi from Amsterdam? Was wondering how much taxi will cost.

We agree on Fata-Morgana, great club, and its on the Eastern edge of the city located next to the motorway at the turn off for Muiden.

Sorry, can't remember how much we paid but it was awhile ago.

Best thing to do is to call the club and they might suggest a taxi service which is familiar with the club location.

Have a great time and let us know all the gory detail

Oh and yes be very wary of taxis they will take you on a tour before your destination and charge the earth. When we first went it cost 40euro airport transfer by taxi but 4 pound by bus and in half the time x

We are going in oct (again!) And are going to try 'sameplace', it has good reviews, would love to know what you find xxx

You can take a train to Muiden from Amsterdam station, its not far at all, 5 minutes.

Alternatively a taxi from there will be about 30 to 40 Euros as it is a far away east from the city.

We are going in oct (again!) And are going to try 'sameplace', it has good reviews, would love to know what you find xxx "

sameplace isn't a typical Dutch club. Think a 'brown bar' - wood floor etc - but you can play wherever you like. There are beds by the bar and by the dancefloor and a basement downstairs that opens when it gets busy. It usually livens up after 12. It tends to be a bit more fetishy than the mainstream clubs but we've had some great nights there. Check the website for the nights you are going, the fetish nights have a fairly strict dress code.
