Have to be honest guys and say it has been very well organised and for a first attempt fantastic!

A little un organised as far as pitching up it seems to have been a case of pitch where you like and tents have now blocked what was the entrance and exit. The Warter slide never appeared but as far as we are concerned a 9/10 and a massive thanks to all your helpers and staff it is a great event and still another night to go! Toilets and showers very good and an excellent little venue.

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

Thanks guys for arranging it all. I was especially impressed with how you managed to sort the weather!

Apart from some inconsiderate people blocking the path to the main area with their tents, and the firebreather not performing, it was good.

Just made it back to the cool of the Xtasia building. This smilie reminds me of how quickly I burnt up on Friday Superb event guys, well done. Will write up fully tomorrow as I know you'll be feeding off every possible comment ready for next year, but personally feel you'll have a job to beat that one. Thank you everyone who came and its all you swingfielders who made the event so special .

All the comments positive and negative are being taken on board as you read this. One thing we would like is the location of the venue to remain amongst ourselves if at all possible, as we feel that was a crucial part of the event!

Wow what an amazing weeknd we had cant really find anything to critisise.

Have to thank the organisers and especially the staff who were fantastic.

And a big thanks to all the campers everyone was so friendly and all chatted as if we had known them for ages. We have made some new friends.

Only comment for next year ( we will be there ) is and we didnt have a problem with the entrance to the caming area maybe we were in the right spot but maybe some cones so when people arrive say dont pitch between them and maybe some to creat a "road" of cones to keep it clear.

Once again many thanks, will be back. John.

Excellent weekend with very friendly people , well done all those involved in the organisation , there was always going to be the odd teething problem but I think overall it was excellent , one small suggestion is maybe a few more benches and tables around the bar / food area with possibly a few Patio heaters , we loved chatting outside once the disco kicked off but found it too cold once the sun went down , play areas were great if a little dark at times

Have to say it was a fantastic weekend, very well organised for a first attempt and the weather was just perfect!

Only a few things I'd say would have made it better, I think that a few more things to help the mood kick in, a few people I spoke to said they felt like they were in a really nice relaxed pub garden. I thing a small cinema tent may of helped.

Other than that a few more games during the daytime, although I missed the wet tshirt competition and the jelly wrestling was cracking, I just feel a few more games would have been good.

But all in all fantastic weekend.

Thank you to all of the staff who have worked so hard for months your efforts more than paid off and then some!

Saturday day time was so much fun with the wet t shirt competition and jelly wrestling, gonna buy some Jelly bath and train for next year I also want a te pee (spelling?) in my garden, loved the fire walk after dark it really did look amazing, having serious festival comedown, lol. My whole body is sore and my legs are full of thumb print bruises that I will enjoy looking at for the next week, remembering where I was when I got them, aftershocks! Happy happy happy

I will agree with the above poster that a patio heater would have been good esp last night when it got cold. That is probably it. The live music was really, really good and I danced my socks off last night. The heavy trance music probably went on for a bit long on the Friday but sat night the mix of everything was perfect. Again well done all! Thank you, looking forward to next year already, maybe stick an extra fiver on the ticket prices so you can hire outside staff so you guys have more down time.

Enjoyed it so much gonna say thanks again, thank you. Xxxxxxxxxx u all rock!

Can only repeat what everyone else is thinking and saying what an awesome event Our only tiny complaint would be the toilet facilities ( bloody hard work getting back up the hill...lol) Entertainment was good. The activities thru out the day could of mayb done with being more of but it was toooooo hot for people to participate anyways. Mr Shags suggestion for next year if it's so hot ya need volunteers around the site applying sun cream.......lol But all in all a was a brilliant weekend so well done to the organisers of this event and cant wait till next year xxxxxx

Well what can we say

Absolutely brilliant weekend , from the minute we arrived the staff were brilliant and friendly

For a first time event I don't think you could have wished for more. Was fantastic

If we were being picky Perhaps a few more seats around the beer tents and music arena and a few patio heaters .

But just buzzing about the whole event and so glad we were at the first ever one !!

Massive thanks to all the staff who made the weekend . Well done guys !

1st:THANK YOU to The Lodge team for all the hard work and creating a fantastic event for us swingers

We had a great time and enjoyed the whole week-end.Great venue and fantastic people.Enough entertainment to just watch or join in.

May be a bit more lighting around the belltent to the WC/Shower block for the nights. The pitching was fine for us but could see a problem for late/Saturday arrivals due to others not thinking about acces and just pitching on/along the drive in path!

All in all:We are very Happy to have been part of history as we have no doubt that this great event will continue to grow and hopefully goes on for many years to come

The only thing that would make Swingfields better for us next time would be to pack in fun with even more of the great people we met, just not enough hours in the day! Fantastic event, well done to the organisers. Anyone that met us feel free to get in touch if you want to see more hehe. He was in a black kilt, she was in a nurses outfit then a red corset

" the firebreather not performing. )"

Just like to point out the firebreather did preformed he did 4 walk arounds thu the day and the only reason there was no main show was because of inconsiderate people walking towards him when he had a mouth full of parifin rather than waiting to enter the maze for a few extra mins! It's ok tho after slight parifin poisoning from holding it in his mouth too long so as not to spit it on people we still managed to have a good time.

Love, love, loved the whole thing. Most impressed with the incredibly chilled, permissive and friendly atmosphere and really decent food and drink prices - not festival prices at all : £3.50 for pint of cider, £2.50 for bacon sandwich. Only queued once for a shower and showered 4 times (I was a dirty girl!) though did shower with my partner to save water! ??Love swing, spanking benches etc all great fun. Best best thing was all the staff (Simone we love you!) and met some really great and sexy people. Much fun, can't wait for next year. Richard and Amanda Xxxx

Loved it! We thought we would read a couple of posts first before we chipped our 2p's worth in. First off we would like to say that we feel that all our points are in the corner of 'what could be done better' not 'what's wrong with Swingfields'. The pitching of tents was a slight problem due to where we were located, Mr RWL couldn't get the car in until a path was clear of tents.

We dont agree with the idea of a Cinema being onsite, as one of the things that made this event work, was that the only things to stimulate and entertain were each other.

We would of liked to have seen a list of band names, timings, entertainment timings etc to be published and given to us on entry. This would enable people to be able to plan their days a bit more, knowing what time to be back from Tesco's etc.

Entertainment wise, we thought it was excellent. The bands were pretty good and the Jelly Wrestling was one of the funniest things we have seen. Don't agree on bringing in manufactured entertainment, loads of inventive games to play (Got loads, can discuss sometime if you would like committee).

Toilets and Showers Were very good. Location was excellent and only a ten minute wait for a shower is pretty good in our book.

Location was fantastic, next year though, get the fit, toned blonde adonis to cut the bloody grass a couple of days before and a bit shorter.

We would recommend that you sign up to Zazzle and get some t-shirts made or something, a lot of people wouldn't mind buying now a 'I was there for the first one' type of thing.

Have to agree with the comment about employing someone to take the pressure off yourselves so that the staff can have some fun. Get people in on the road block so that you don't have to man it.

We would like to thank all those who have taken their time to organise this event. We have met and chatted with most of the staff and it was great putting a face to a username. Also a bigup to my Twitter buddy Mark, always walking around chatting, making sure people were enjoying themselves and being the life and soul of the party.

So, the only problem we see is that people will always compare future Swingfields to this one.

WE WERE THERE MAN!!!!!

Well bloody done.

We completely agree with redwinelovers and most of what we thought of saying has been said by them already!

I certainly think that a programme of events etc in the welcome pack would be beneficial as i overheard many people asking what time the bands/games etc were on and the event orgnisers having to repeat this so many times! Maybe it could include a few little reminders, for example the pods. It wasn't until about midnight on Saturday that we even knew they could be used! We thought they were for accomodation lol. Then when we got in there for a rather tasty play session we got the bang on the door to say they were being closed at 1am.... Rather disappointing when you're halfway through something you'd been building up to for several hours!

Other than that we felt the music was good although Saturday seemed a little less 'party' atmosphere than friday night!

The staff however were an absolute credit to the whole event. From main organisers to security we'd really like to say a massive thank you to each and every one if you for providing such a wicked weekend.

As was also said earlier our only disappointment is that we have to wait until next year to do it all again!!

Agree with this

Maybe some demonstrations and lessons on rope play, flogging, pole dancing things like that would be good. Body painting, just typical festival cheap fun stuff. One thing we would suggest is covered area to either get out of the Sun or Rain depending on which we get next year!

As we said in all the various threads prior to the event it was about enjoying the event and the people would make it what it was... And they did! Massive well done to everyone..

When I say cinema I just mean something to heighten the mood, as a previous post said demos on rope play or something like that would have helped. I also think body painting would have been amazing.

West Bromwich

Morning after....what a downer

Won't cover the points already mentioned as absolutely sure Stu and Debs are watching this like hawks with pen and paper jotting every comment.

The circle of mown grass around the edge of the field where we originally said the tents should be, was only mown wide enough for one car/motorhome, so to drive past it was driving over crops. Same to toilets from camp field as motorhomes soon filled the gaps. Think it would have been far more social if the idea of around the main field had been used....and probably flatter for everyone as well

One band time seemed totally wrong, middle of afternoon, everyone still enjoying things elsewhere, and no one at tent, great music, but wasted.

Friday night band, singer at the door of the dome, felt like you couldn't go in. Move him back to stage, get people coming in, and feeling warmer, gets you away from the idea of providing heaters. I was going to ask for air con, Would have made the inside of the dome far more the centre of events rather than beside the food van. Think we only saw Stu and Debs in there all weekend.

Well done to those two as well, great pricing, and the hours they worked was amazing....and a shame, lol.

Agree with more things going on. We let Stu down with a body painter unfortunately, think she's have been superb, maybe next year if her health allows. Rope workshop at some point would have been welcomed by many at a guess watching reactions to what a few of us did at times. Massage beds for group sessions would have been fun .

Think field owners needs to be aware that its your event, not theirs, and stop trying to make things happen one minute, and then hide things the next because their family turns up!! Also staffing the bar with family who don't wish to see anything naughty was daft. Insist its your staff in future.

Gather toilet cleaning was down to them, they did well then, and no real issues with showers or loo's, but might make sense to control it yourselves.

All above meant to help next year. When can we buy tickets ?

Paul & Flirt

Can't find fault with anything, it was a great event that we really enjoyed and will be back for more. A premade rope suspension point would be nice and to pick up on what a few people have mentioned, would be happy to demo rope work, flogging etc if people wanted.

The numbers attending we're good, don't let it get too big as it will lose the intimate friendly atmosphere that we all enjoyed.

Well done and thanks again.

Was a fantastic weekend we will be back next year for sure.

Nothing to complain about organisers and staff who were great.

Only comment would be more lighting around the bar/food stall and outside the area near the stage.

Apart from that was perect and thanks to all those attending everyone was so friendly and created a great atmosphere all weekend.

Still feeling the “burn” from the weekend!

First off I’d like to thank the organisers for going to the trouble and putting in, what was obviously a huge amount of effort!!! - I’m sure a lot of people would underestimate what’s involved in sorting something like this.

It was good fun, and feel we’ve had the opportunity to get to know some genuinely great people over out weekend! – some better than others!

Save waffling, I’ve listed what we thought was great and not so great. I’ll start off with the great! ?

- The people – first and foremost the punters and pretty much everyone we encountered were all out for a good time, friendly and fun!

- The location – Well out of the way and easy enough to find!

- The greeting – Really lovely and made us feel relaxed, as being the first one no one really knew what they were getting themselves in for!

- The Site – Hats off! – Finding a Site that was not overlooked as far as the eye could see (Lovely view!) and so private was exactly what was needed and delivered!

- Great weather – although we didn’t realise just how hot it was while erecting our tent and paid the price a little!

- Owner came over shortly after and advised us on what to do in an emergency – good thought and nice touch.

- Mark – what a star! – Next year, you need more Marks! We were pitched pretty much as far away as you can get, yet he was often walking by just checking we were ok. Perfect guy for the job, really friendly and nothing was too much trouble.

- Bar – reasonably priced and had a good selection of spirits we thought.

- Security – really nice guys, chatty and really relaxed, yet still there – perfect.

- Teepees – These were amazing, and worked really well. Appeared clean every time we looked or used one and liked the ability to have private ones too.

- The fire – something very relaxing about sitting around a fire – great touch and great focal point.

- The Fire Maze – again, was probably the largest congregation of people all weekend in one place.

- The wet t-shirt competition. Hands up, I thought that was going to be pants, but actually everyone took it for what it was and had a really good giggle with it ?

- Jelly wrestling – I didn’t see this, but I’m going to say it was a success as we could hear the laughter from the other side of the field! – Only problem I see with it was that we missed it!

The areas for improvement we see are ( I know some have already been mentioned) :

- Communication – on the run up to the event there were several mixed messages, whether that was about showers, toilets, emails or extra nights. Being the first event, I think this may have made a lot of people sceptical about the organisational ability of the team.

- Again with communication – “you can be nude here but not there” etc, and then from what I could see that all just went out the window!

- The camping area, was on a slope, the best quote I heard that describes the consequences of this was “I woke up cuddling the toilet”… ? - you end up slipping down in the night. It’s also a bit tricky, although slightly amusing trying to play where after every 5th hump, like a typewriter, you need to reset to your starting position in the tent - ting! ?

- The other down side to this was the trek to and from the tents being uphill on the way back, it was blisteringly hot and I certainly felt it in my legs walking back up.

- I think the amount of camping space estimated was a tad optimistic. Everyone was comfortable, but I think if you’d have added another 100 to that, it would have been way too overcrowded.

- The bar – I’m fussy when it comes to my drink – however they had exactly what I wanted great - but others were not so fortunate. I know this seems small, but we all have our favourite drink, which we were not allowed to bring into the arena, but if they don’t sell it – it’s annoying, especially when it’s something as popular as Bacardi! – Yes, I know they had “own brand” white rum. Still the principle being, I’m more than happy to pay for drinks at a venue, and from what I can remember were very reasonably priced, but if you have a rule like that, please keep it well stocked.

- No diet drinks on site. I hardly know anyone who drinks “full fat” now by choice – not anywhere on site could you buy a can of diet . We had to carry enough around with us for the evening, would rather have bought it in the arena.

- No provisioning for extreme weather. I know we got lucky with the weather, but at the same time, a large Marquee with seating (which there was not enough of) attached to the real ale bar I think would have gone down a treat. Everyone we’ve spoken to agreed – if it had rained the event would have been pretty much a write off. I accept there may have been some outdoor covering on standby, but fail to see why if there was, it wasn’t just used anyway? I think most people would have loved an area where we could have got out of the direct sun light en-masse and you’re covered if you had the occasional shower too. Also in the evening it did start to drop a bit cool on the Saturday, just something with a few sides on would have been great.

- Entertainment – again, without a program that I saw, there still seemed to be some areas of the day when it was like “well what happens now then?” – Like others have suggested there could have been some good demos / fun games – for instance, while there was a wet tshirt competition, there wasn’t a “wet y-fronts”;-)

- No focal points – apart from the fire maze and to some lesser degree the fire, there were no real focal points. People became a little separated – it was either this little group over here or that one over there. Again, a large marquee with plenty of seating, soft seating, cushions etc would have been really nice. Every single person we met and got involed with was while sitting around the fire ?

- As above – I never found the covered BBQ area? Maybe I missed it? Although again, saw a lot of people using their own disposable ones on the grass.

- A timetable of events – some people seemed to know what was going on and when, and others didn’t.

- The poor bloke in the band who played to an empty field – not his fault, just bad timing so easily fixed ?

- Talking of poor blokes – SINGLE MALES!!! – Where were they all hiding? I saw 1 distinguishable single bloke and another forum poster I know of whose name I recognised on a tent. Talking with others there seems to be a lot of the % of single guys that came, came as part of attending with another couple. I agree you don’t’ want it overrun by any 1 particular group, but we didn’t see any that were easily identifiable as single guys – yellow bibs next year please! – and more of them! In a club on single guys night, you don’t have to go looking for them!

- Electric hook-ups – could have really done with some up at the top of the camping area. I hated using the generator, it was noisy and antisocial, but I had to keep the fridge going, which I did run off gas 90% of the time, but needed to give it a kick occasionally.

- Catering – nothing the matter with the catering, the guys were lovely (actually REALLY lovely?) and reasonably priced, it’s just sometimes you want something other than a burger, chips or hotdog. A few different catering vans would have been good, and to be fair to the poor guys running their van, they were in there for a lot of hours! They could have done with a bit more of a break! Bless em!

- Showers – I didn’t use them but did look in them, and will presume they worked ok, everyone I spoke to said they did. I think there could have been more, or better, a row of about a dozen shower heads in a communal shower would have been perfect. Most people wanted to just “swill off”, but obviously the ladies wanted the opportunity to wash their hair, shave “things” etc… You could have kept the private showers for that. We were having about 4-5 showers each a day. We bought our own and glad we did – I couldn’t be doing with wasting over an hour a day waiting / getting to the showers for a weekend event. Especially with the heat, just wanted to swill off and carry on.

- Toilets – again being at the bottom of the hill I saw several people just taking a leak in the bushes / adjacent fields which again suggests there either weren’t enough of they were located too inconveniently (however that comes back to the camping area, I agree it wouldn’t have been a nice prospect to be sat in a toilet on a slope!). The 2 porta loo’s at the bottom of the camp field were what you get with a porta loo, fair enough, only these had a sign on saying “no number 2’s”, so if you did have the misfortune of needing to do a “No. 2” you had to then go in the static shower / toilet block right at the far end of the arena. When you did get there, you were faced with the choice of 3 toilets, one of which didn’t have a working lock. People generally tended to hang around inside the toilet /shower block (2 showers at opposite end to 3 toilets)at busier times, while waiting for the toilet. Now, while I’m pretty free spirited there are some things I still like to do in relative privacy. With a door just thick enough to stop like permeating it and with a 8 inch gap at the bottom, it’s not the most private affair. Nothing like coming face to face with the guy/girl of your dreams, right after it sounds like they have just been strangling a duck in a mine shaft for the last 5 mins..…

That’s the main points anyway. ?

Did we enjoy it – yes, we made of it what we wanted and met some lovely people we wouldn’t have otherwise ever met! So thanks again to the organisers for putting the effort in and hosting it for everyone.

Would we go again? Not sure – for the same price, you can have 2 nights in a Holiday Inn and have a lot of fun too….. When babysitters are hard to come by for a whole weekend everything is a consideration.

Oh – and one last thing.. I was REALLY annoyed that there wasn’t an award for “played with the most people”… I think Rosie (the dog) must have played, or at least tried to play, with every single person on site! She put the rest of us to shame!

Thanks again,

D&K

For a first time event - a big thumbs up guys it was excellent!

We would agree with the above comments regarding extra seating around the main arena as many small segregated groups developed.

Once again a fantastic event, we met some great peeps . Can't wait for next year!!!!

We were not quite at the top but near and too be honest the walk to the loos was not steep and walking back was great to stop and talk to people outside their tents, think that was better.

Had no problems with the showers we did not have to queue once.

Regarding the catering we thought the sexy peeps who ran it did a sterling job. To be fair the menu was fairly limited but surely if you are vegitarian etc you would make sure you had provisions. As it was a first time event and small numbers they were taking a big risk comming at all. If they do it again next year, which we hope they do I think they will have learned from this year. The event was not big enough for more than one catering outfit and if it was me I would work with the organisers to have certain opening times as quite often they were sat in an empty field.

Having been involved in catering etc at a lot of events in the past it is easy to forget that they are there to make money and even a seperate coffee stall would effect their takings dramatically.

Another good thing was at least they were both swingers too which was a plus.. how about naked Chefs next year

I know I wasn't there but do feel that the diet /diet drink issue should be addressed - what about diabetics? Most pubs and bars ensure they have at least one diet drink available and substitutions could actually be dangerous - especially when the weather is hot.

As it was camping I would expect anyone who might be affected by a small choice of food and drink would have brought their own supplies. I certainly did.

"30 pound all weekend!! We spent arotnd 150 smackers lol. Worth it though!. B "

This was my thinking:

1) Camping.. limited (if any) shower facilities (with change of clothes for weekend to go back on in-addequately washed body?)

2) Limited option on food: simple solution is to bring my own

3) Limited sleep arrangements (I don't own a camper van)

4) Petrol there and back

5) Plus ticket price (according to the website) £120 for a couple, £90 for a single guy.

I don't know if that is typical for general camping trips (swinging or otherwise), I found it hard to justify.

OK, I will feed the Troll.

You didn't go to Swingfields, so I don't know how you can have a valid voice on here. There are 8 threads that pretty much cover everything you have said. Try searching 'Swingfields' in the forum search bar. When you have read EVERY post from the doubters, H&S nuts, haters and people with valid concerns about showers then please feel free to pop back in and ask a question from those that went or ask your mate on Fab.

I am not going to sit here and have to read stuff, questioning an event that they never attended without defending it. 99% of comments on this thread have been in the corner of what could be done better, yours are the other 1% and you didn't attend.

1) There were plenty of showers.

2) Yep, bring your own.

3) Buy a tent in September when the sales are on.

4) Move to Worcestershire.

5) Save £20 per month.

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

"30 pound all weekend!! We spent arotnd 150 smackers lol. Worth it though!. B

I don't know if that is typical for general camping trips (swinging or otherwise), I found it hard to justify."

Again, camping is camping. I don't have a car, so had to hire one and pay for petrol, but I did already have most the equipment, and borrowed a tent. I brought food and booze with me. If you're concerned with the costs of the car and equipment, hire a camper van and bring some friends. Lots of people there did that.

I can't comment on the ticket prices because I am a single female and also got in early, so paid a lower amount. However there were bands all weekend, a DJ both nights, entertainment laid on during the day and evening, and facilities laid on for the swingers, PLUS the cost of the venue itself.

It wasn't just some camping trip where you pitch your tent and do your own thing. I agree that would have been pricy. It was a festival, and compared to some it was cheap.

I wonder if other festivals get people saying what bad value their festivals are after the actual festival. LOL, probably.

Its not like the organisers were forcing people to go!

village between York and Hull

Just been looking to go to a local trib fest, £85 each for tickets which does not include the main VIP tent. VIP tickets £135 each! £65 for camper and no swinging in sight! And no doubt rip off prices on booze and food.

We bought our tickets for swingfields early so got a discount, bought £30 worth of food, £32 on booze, £120 on fuel, £3 on ice cream and £10 on beer in the tent. We did not play with anyone all weekend BUT we loved it! Met great people, chilled out and had fun together, we were away from home and chilled out and to us time together you can not put a price on!

At the end of the day this is not a charity and I really hope the organisers made a few £ otherwise it won't happen again. Having said that if you take into account the amount of hours they put in to organise it I bet they didn't even make £1 an hour! I am a Yorkshireman second only to a Scotsman when it comes to being tight and we thought it was a fair price. We have gone to many clubs and spent as much if not more in a weekend. What price on a fun filled weekend????

Sorry this is making me cross.

1. You were not there so cant see how you can comment on showere etc, we had no problem with queues.

2. Price was fine we booked early and food and bar prices where good though most people took thier own and had BBQ's.

3. The event was well organised and run, thanks to the organisers and staff who were brilliant.

4. Cant see why you should complain about petrol or a tent as you would have to get those if you went to a normal campsite.

5. Overall as I am sure those who went will agree was a fantastic weekend and we met so many nise people and will definatly be back next year.

Sorry everyone & Debs and Stu, but I am not going to sit here and have to put up with inane comments about something they know nothing about. "

Thanks for feeding the Troll, ( haha, loved that!)At the end of the day, I feel the troll may have Swingfields envy! But feel sorry for him, he missed out and his comments are invalid to us. Think he might go on the naughty list for next years event. xx

We didn't go, but our valid opinion is we wish we bloody well did.

With out being there it sounds like it was amazing.

frankly if there were teething troubles we should have been there to see them, get over them and enjoy the 99% of stuff that sounds fabulous...

we will learn by our mistake and go next year.....

Not a good enough excuse

Due to the number of complaints on here from people who didn't go, several of us have decided that we are going to take 'Swingfields' on tour!

It will be like a traveling circus, but with less clothes on. We hope your back garden can fit about 100 tents and about 4 Tee-pees. We also give out free ear defenders for your neighbors. All we require is a freezer and a good sound system. We will start setting up about six tomorrow night.

Just one question though, how many showers do you have in your house?

Fortress of Solitude, Middlesex

Wow, been alerted to come and see a few comments on here so I best post before being accused of "running away".

Firstly, this is a forum thread: as I've seen posted several times over the years it not only is meant for people to post, but also, its not expected to have all comments agree.

For the people that feel I'm "bashing" swingfields/camping, please don't misinterpret my message: yes try most things (within reason), but I always weigh up what I'm committing to what I'm getting back.

And yes I did search for information, but I got the most information from the website (why could I not find the previous forum threads? no idea - it was not for lack of searching).

For those that replied to my points with well constructed point (even if in disagreement), thank you.

For those however that felt their strongest point was to throw abuse as though in a 5 year old playground... wow! (and I was supposed to be the immature one!) Abuse? Really? I thought that wasn't allowed on forums? (Or have I made that up as well?)

As for Swingfields, yes I wish I could have gone (irrespective of my concerns why I did not go), and as a massive supporter of socials, meets, gatherings and parties (have been for years, and always will be), clearly for those that attended seemed to enjoy it so very well done and hope it goes from strength to strength.

"Still feeling the “burn” from the weekend!

D&K

we went to the lodge last night and spoke to the crew who organized it...

they talked about what went into the planning behind the scenes, all we can say is wow !

although we didn't go from what they said it took so much work and time the fact it even went ahead within 3 months of the initial idea is phenomenonal.

the whole crew deserve a proper well done.
