Fever - London Party 20 July?

So who is going?

I usually leave the boyfriend home so I can be naughty at these events. Any girls want to go together for company perhaps? If you know Fever you know it is couples and single girls only!

I have in the past had guys offer to pay for my ticket if I take them as my "date" with no commitment. But I would only do that with guys I am attracted to who I am sure will not act out of place. After all I like being invited back!

We we do go as a group we could even have challenges for the night

20th July huh..

not been to one ever.. keep being booked up for work.

We really need to try one.

Are they better than KK? Last time we went to one of those, it was full of single guys with escorts.

Well I have not been to KK in forever so hard to say. But the Fever parties are my favorite events, this is a club night so a little less formal and you buy your own drinks. For this reason i actually like them.....

Are they still 'invite only' after completing an application and being Assessed by a panel of Judges?

From memory this used to be the case and always seemed a bit 'exclusive' rather than inclusive to me!

Yes Fever still is exclusive. For Fever parties you have to pre register and be approved. However the "club nights" (which this is) are more relaxed and they allow previous party goers to bring along friends as long as they think they will fit in.

I guess this is what puts many people off expressing an interest!

The concept of having to meet certain 'standards' before being accepted into the fold so to speak, whilst perfectly understandable when talking about private meets as everyone has (and is entitled to) their own tastes and preferences - is a tricky one to position in the world of swinging!

It comes across as a 'face/body doesn't fit' mentality that I find hard to accept when it comes to clubs and parties, particularly when the decisions on who 'qualifies' are made by committee. To me clubs and parties have always been heavily social events and to exclude attendance based on looks is a bit pretentious and - dare I say it - 'cliquey'!

I'd be interested to see what the application/acceptance ratios were - and whether a simple tick list based on body shape, age and what somebody has decided qualify as good looks, is largely used to determine who's 'in' and who's 'out'.

I'd also imagine a large number of people 'the committee' would deem perfect would decline an offer to apply for fear of confidence/egos being dented, as well as many who would refuse to be required to complete an acceptance application just on principle.

There will always be 'theme' events at clubs - BBW nights, BMFC, Bi, age related, couples only etc - but none of these would ever exclude anyone from attending if they didn't fit a certain 'category'.

And regardless of whether I was deemed 'suitable' or not - to quote Dragons Den - for those reasons, I'm out!

Can't comment on Fever but Killing Kittens is very much about "beautiful people" - young and attractive and willing to meet the ridiculous costs and you are in.

I doubt I'd meet their criteria, but I know I would not be at all interested in attending a party with that sort of ethos.

It's all bullshit just devised to make those who are accepted feel good about themselves and have their egos massaged. Bit like the Amex Black Card.

No disrespect to those who go, but seriously everyone likes to feel "exclusive" no matter how contrived it is.

Yes we will be going!

(Can't believe there aren't more clubs with exclusivity/age restrictions - I don't see how anyone can take offence it's just catering for different tastes)

"I just saw Little Liaison is having a party the same night"

LL is a good party - although some of the dress themes are too much bother.

When they used to hold apartment parties (when it actually was a little liaison) and it was undress at the door and cuddle on sofas under fleeces that was fun!

So which would you recommend I go? It is just a LL club night so no silly dress theme.

Were hoping to get to the (July) bubble party - there is a more relaxed theme for that one.

Think they have only done one "club" type party no idea how that went.

Mostly they are events in a large house bit like Fever House Party uses.
