I’m thinking enquiring about a potential membership at jaydees, I don’t live to far from it but I was just hoping for any adivce on going to a place like this for the first time on my own?

One of my biggest fears is being sat in there completely on my own looking like a bit of a wolly and out of place.

Thank you

Jaydees is a very friendly club, according to my male friends on the scene, one of the most friendly and welcoming for single men. However, even the friendliest club is not going to help if you don't make the first move.

My biggest problem is the fear of rejection now I don’t mean like being told no I mean like initially approaching someone and being ignored or just shut down straight away

sadly, that's normal in swingers clubs, as well as on here. You need to have thick skin and don't take it personally. For the very first time, I'd go without any expectations, just to have a look around the club, see if it's something you'd like to explore further. I'd also choose a "quieter" event, so you're not as likely to get overwhelmed. But yes, do be prepared to be overwhelmed, and don't put too much pressure on yourself to stay.

ok, good luck. If you can go during the day, the spa Thursday might be less daunting.

Keep an eye out for their newbie nights as they're good fun and there will be lots of other people in the same position as you so you won't feel as awkward maybe. It's a great club and the staff are very friendly. I've been a member 13 years now and never had a bad time.

Hi mate, Whiskey here. I used to be a single guy myself on the scene, and Jaydees is one of the easiest places to enjoy yourself in good company. I met my wkd there, and we both love the lifestyle together. Everyone is really friendly, even if you don't strike lucky, the connections you make will open new doors.

+1 for going along with zero expectations. It will help you relax. Some nights nothing happens, other nights you can click with someone/people.

Turn up and think of the sex as a bonus. It may or may not happen.

This is the wrong attitude and approach.

1. Have no expectations (we don't when we go to clubs and sometimes we don't play), just enjoy the environment.

2. Chat to people, don't go straight in with the question, take your time and flirt.

3. Be yourself.

4. If you see us, come say hi, we'll have a chat, no promises though.

Hitchin, Stevenage, St Albans etc.

The Spa day might be better as people just sit and chat in the jacuzzi and is easier to break the ice. Or go to a Newbie Night, I think they have one coming up soon, but JD's is very friendly, they walk you around on first visit and introduce you to people and come and find you later to see that you are ok. Enjoy it, we've all been there.

We are biased because Jaydees is the only club we have attended but even on observation of singles that attend they always get chatting and are welcomed just aswell as everyone else!

You would be fine

Do I have to submit a membership form and wait for a response or can I turn up and fill one in and go in straight away?

I believe all you need to do is book your place for the day, by messaging/emailing the club. The membership normally gets sorted on the day- just remember to bring enough cash to cover membership fee, entrance fee and locker deposit, as well as 2 forms of ID.

As Miss Devil suggested, book a place and membership can be sorted on the night. I would take cash abd I.d but do ensure you book in with the club on their profile on here or via email. I would also ensure you dont class yourself as booked in until you have received a reply.

Absolutely this!!!

One of the reasons we don't like events that allow single-men!! Having said that, the numbers attending JayDees make a Saturday night still good.

What’s wrong with single men?

"What’s wrong with single men? "
I think the couple may have posted in the wrong thread. But sadly, single men (not all, only some) have not got a very good cred on the scene. As they either tend to just stare and follow women or couples around, usually with their cocks out (hence the nickname "wanking dead"), or they touch without being invited to, make assumptions based on the kind of play (for example, some men wrongly assume that, as a couple are playing in the open, they are "fair game" and would play with anyone). As long as you don't join either of those groups, you'll be fine.

I’m definitely not part of those groups I’ve been raised correctly with respect and decorum about me, I am fully aware no means no and it’s a safe space for everyone, it’s a shame some people feel entitled to do as they plea

Constantly Travelling With Work

Its the friendliest club I have been to. In the summer, lots of people tend to gravitate to the outside area and you will quickly find yourself invited to join a conversation.

Remember, be sociable, make new friends and if you get invited to play, then thats a bonus.

You sound like one of the good ones, as a single guy who struggles with a fear of rejection I can tell you Jaydees is a great place to go everyone is friendly and welcoming. You will be shown around the first time just mention you are nervous and the guide will introduce you to people and leave you with a friendly group to help you. I never go with expectations other than a fun night out with some nice people and as sone have said sex is a bonus.
