Opinions on Under40s nights

So,

There seem to be a few more nights for the ever growing number of younger swingers but I just wanted everyones opinions on the way they're run.

What do you think is better-if it is exclusively Under 40s (or would it be better to be Under 35, 30 etc).

Or if the nights where couples can come if one of the partners is Under 40.

Looking forward to all your wonderful responses

Our thoughts.

The real question is what type of people you want. A club in this lifestyle does massively depend on the members. But age wise different people have different priorities.

The following is a "devils advocate argument" and not necessarily our thoughts.

"It could that very young swingers are considered risky because are they really mature enough to play. Similarly age takes its toll of the body and oldies might not be attractive"

We are very much of the view that having fun and being attracted is different for everyone. So if peoole want to keep to their age/maturity/looks bracket then ensure there is enough space for that seperation.

Penalising peiple who may have taken a few mire years to be comfortable and confident in thier relationship (or until the kids had left home) might be a bit harsh.

Live and let live and allow people to divide inside a crowd.

Just one thought!

We're on the cusp here. I'm just under 40, (D), Kate is just over. Looking at photos of us both, we're in much better shape now than we were 10 years ago.

However I'd support any choice or preference somebody has.

We've swung with people from 22 - 50's. we've never found an age range distinguishably "better" than the other.

I can't believe how many 20 something's we've swung with it - personally I'd have never believed it, but hey Ho, it's what's happened so I guess we're doing something right!

If people want to have an under 40's or even under 35/30 night then I fully support it. it will ultimately result in more people in the "scene" which I only see as a good thing.

A lot of the reason people don't dare go to clubs is because of the stereotype they have in their head of a "swinger". Having a night where they are guaranteed to be in the company if similar age people, could well encpurage them to attend. Once they realise that's not always the case and we're not all freaks, I expect a lot of them would venture to normal nights - and I won't complain at that.

I'd say I'm too old so I don't care!

Thanks guys, all valid points-the problem seems to be trying to please the largest group of people!

My personal feelings aside (as long as the guy is over 25 and under 50 i am not bothered about age) i think a lot of younger couples are put off by the thought that there could be a 60 year old there with a 39 year old partner and thats why they wouldnt attend.

However, as you say couples who are on the border or have one over, one under may not be noticeable.

On the other hand, the largest proportion of swingers are over 35 so its all swings and roundabouts!
