Quest or pandoras

So I've been to both once before (wasn't the best experience). I went there not expecting much but I walked into a pretty judgemental and clicky atmosphere.

I'm thinking of trying one of them again next month but unsure.

What are your thoughts?

In the way that a middle aged woman screamed in my face that I wasn't to be near her because she didn't want single guys near her. And got very confrontation. And I also was looked up and down in almost disgust. I was dressed straight from a social so not scruffy. Plus I didn't dress down either. That was Pandora's.

Then at quest I again got plenty of looks of not being welcome there and even a few comments of there being too many single guys there already and they don't need more around.

I have spoken to people on here and at socials since about this and they have said I just had bad luck with the nights. This is what has led to me wanting to try again

With quest it depends on the night but on event nights the ratio of men are a good mix during weekends. I've never heard any complaints of having too many men at my events so I'm wondering if you've been on the 2nd Thursday or a Tuesday as I'm guessing you're not a member?

Quest gets our vote. We’ve been to each a couple of times and both times at pandoras we weren’t impressed. Simple things like toilets in a very bad state an hour after opening and staff weren’t bothered when we told them.

Found quest a lot more welcoming each time too

Quest would be my suggestion. I get that as a single female my experience may be different but I’ve never felt uncomfortable in quest. As long as they are respectful and polite, I’ve never seen a single male treated like they shouldn’t be there personally.

Been to both and prefer Pandoras as Quest is a lot smaller. I agree that you had bad luck as both were friendly welcoming places when we go

Been to Quest three times now as a single guy and always found the staff and clientele very friendly tbh.aybe as others said you just had a bad night, I'd try it again to be sure.

I have been to Quest hundreds of times and have never heard comments like this. You were very unlucky.

How close were you to the woman before she screamed at you ?

As you didn't dress down didn't you not go upstairs at Pandora's? Or did she scream at you because you were in a playroom not dressed down ?

How close were you to the woman before she screamed at you ?

As you didn't dress down didn't you not go upstairs at Pandora's? Or did she scream at you because you were in a playroom not dressed down ? "

I was downstairs, literally wasn't even looking at her I walked towards a group to have a chat and then boom she's in my face.

I sounds like you were unlucky with the people that were there those nights.

We used to prefer Quest to Pandora's but that's just a personal preference.

However, I’ve been to quest a few times now, and I’ve never had a problem, I don’t think the single men there did either. Everyone was friendly, welcoming and the atmosphere was amazing!

I've been to several clubs as a single guy mate, and it's very routine to feel like a leper if you're on your own, and don't know a soul inside.

I've not been to Quest or Pandoras, but I will at some point, and look forward to being pleasantly surprised! For a change lol.....

Have a look at Club f in Stanley, or the new place Babylon in Sunderland? Neither are that far from you?

I approach every club visit with an open mind, and zero expectations other than having an alternative night out. If I felt welcome, all the better

That's very very unusual for Pandoras. We have been going there 3 years now and everyone has always been welcoming and friendly and I (Jason) am no oil painting lol. She definitely doesn't sound like one of the regulars.
