Hey! Looking to go to Chams for a first club visit - probably on a Thursday because of work schedules.

Is it worth the trip? What can first timers expect? Any tips?

Chams is a wonderful club, our favourite out of all we have been to. Great choice for a first time club visit.

It will be fairly quiet on a Thursday compared to the weekend, which may or may not be what you are looking for. Thursday nights are also naked nights from 6PM onwards, and its strictly adhered to, so again that may or may not be your thing.

You will have to join (£25 lifetime membership), and pay your £28 in. Closing time is midnight on a Thursday.

Be sure to take ID (both of you).

Everything else (soft drinks / food) is on a tab system that you settle upon leaving.

When we were there a couple of weeks back on a Thursday night, there was maybe 30 or so other people in. All nice friendly folk, but there wasn't much going on really compared to the Friday after. Its still a nice chilled night though.

Thank you so much for all this info! Its really appreciated. I've always wanted to go to a club but its taken a while to get the courage.

We emailed the club and they said Thursdays didnt have to be completely naked if we preferred not to? Is this not the case?

No. Well that was not our experience anyway.

The guy running the club that night was quite strict on it, I heard him give a couple of reminders to people for visiting the bar in a towel.

They do let you carry a towel around with you...over the shoulder is fine, but not around you.

We were sat chatting upstairs and the staff member doing his rounds when passing said to our friend (who had her towel over her lap at the time) "If you aren't comfortable out of the towel, perhaps naked night isn't for you in the future". Just to be clear, he did not say this in a nasty way whatsoever, just how it is, rules are rules...and to be fair, I don't think we would choose to go on naked night again unless that was the only night we could get there on. Not that we felt uncomfortable (as everyone else was naked after all), just we preferred it busier and to be in our trolleys/lingerie.

Thanks for the info - I respect that rules are rules but I'm not sure I am brave enough for naked night on my first visit. Definitely prefer lingerie!

Really appreciate the insight 🙏🏻

It would likely have been Mark enforcing the 'naked' rule.

I am a big fan of naked, and I've been to clubs where it's not really enforced and you see guys walking round half dressed and that's kinda creepy.

Ultimately if you're not comfortable following the dress code, maybe a different night. Or just hide in the hot tub

It’s a great club. I’ve not been on a naked night so can’t comment on that side but it’s clean, big and has brilliant facilities.

You will love it at chams. The owners and staff are really friendly, loads of banter and very welcoming. It's clean and has 2 large hot tubs, we love the place
