So for a while now iv been thinking of going to a proper swinging club, for the social side as much as the fun side as iv met some awesome people through this lifestyle.

Question is where to start as I don't want to go and feel awkward although everyone iv met so far have been more than welcoming.

You have some good clubs on your doorstep. So just check which ones accept single guys and the rules and head along and have fun.

I go with the social side in mind first and foremost. Anything else is always a bonus.

Just go and treat it like any other trip to a pub, club etc but make a point to speak to people, be polite and engaging.

Clubs can be very intimidating from the outside but once inside they are just the same as majority of venues.

Dive in the deep end and stop overthinking it. Just enjoy yourself, this is from a guy who ever to Berlin to a club by himself. Tbh as a single guy I feel safer in a swinger's club than in a Vanilla club.

For your first time, I would avoid a weekend as they can be busy and you may struggle to start up a conversation. Look for a Munch or a more social based night at a club. You will be more likely to chat to people, and if you decide to try a weekend after, you may have broken the ice with some people already (far easier to say hello to someone who who chatted with a couple of weeks earlier).

Be yourself, treat it like a night at a pub (don't get pissed though), let the conversation flow and don't be affraid to let people know its your first club visit, but don't make it the focus of the conversation

I went to my first swingers club end of November( alone). Yes I was very nervous ..went in told them I was a first timer and they put me at ease walked me through the club showing me the social rooms( no play areas).

Then down to play rooms showing equipment etc.really made it a fun walk about .other folk having a good time laughing and in general just getting their freak on .I was made to feel like one of the fab family from the start .which made the evening a blast ..

So my point is definitely take that first step through the door .. yes nerve wracking but it will be the start of a great experience.

Munch and social mean pretty much the same thing.

A group meeting of like minded people to meet and chat where there’s no play, sometimes in a regular pub or club.

I can write a book on clubs

I would say you can be quite lucky at a club and play with a single female, couple very quickly but also it can be a long game. Sometimes you will meet people over a number of weeks then play just happens

A Munch is a swingers social event. They can be held at a club or in a pub and sometimes they move to a club.

You are young and in good shape, if you socialise with people you should have no problems in being invited to join people for fun

Ohhh okay, might have to keep a look out for any local 1s then as it seems a great way to be introduced to it all.

In 2 minds wether to go to munch/social first or just jump in 2 feet and go straight to a club as they all seem very welcoming.

Go to a club mate .there are social areas (no play). You don't have to participate just look, see if it's your thing. If not no harm done.. nobody pushes you to take part ..

Try the no play socials too. You can get connections before you go and there’s no assumption that you wanna play if you chat!

I'm sure if the atmospheres right and I'm comfortable, there won't need much pushing 😂

Be great just to meet some new people in the scene though

You'll find that most of the UK clubs will run a tight ship. We do a huge amount behind the scenes to make our club appealing and a safe space and generally most of our customers will leave with a smile on their face and some amazing memories. All clubs have a slightly differenet feel as well and you'll find one that ticks your _oxes. Definitely try somewhere local to start and don't go with any expectations. Treat it like a night in a bar, with a couple of drinks, some flirting, laughter, great company and with the added bonus of seeing some nipples
