First club visit which would you choose??

So we've got a child free night the 15th Feb and are looking to attend our first club night. Given our location the choice at the moment is between VA and Penthouse Playrooms.

My question to you all is which would you choose and why? We're both keen on bi play but neither venue is a specific bi night would either be better than the other?

Peterborough / Stamford

They're both lovely clubs, but the main two differences:

VA has almost NO closed off play areas. There's one bed with a curtain, and the couples room, but everywhere else is open play. PP has plenty of rooms where you can shut yourself away

VA has a huge hot tub where they allow play, PP has two small ones tucked away downstairs and with little footfall. We like the VA set up as it's easier for us to get to chat and start things in a hottub.

I'd suggest trying both, as either could be perfect for you OR put you off clubs!

Go with no expectations, just to have a good night together. Anything else is a bonus. Agree what you’re comfortable with in advance and keep communicating through the night.

I'm going to add, I've always found music at VA to be way too loud and intrusive, very hard to talk to people over it. Penthouse, music seems to be much more contained to the dance floor, and it's relatively easy to talk to people there.

In my opinion, Penthouse is less pretentious than VA (though I have only done bi nights there). It's also a bigger club, with loads of different areas to discover.

Completely agree with this - don't be worried if "nothing" happens. You will still have taken the step to visit your first club which is a huge achievement!

From your profile you seem to be a lovely couple, who knows what you are doing, so I'm sure you will have fun together no matter what.

Another note....if you're at all like us and don't actually like nightclubs then you may enjoy a daytime event more. Both VA and PP do daytimes on Wednesdays (VA is first Wednesday of the month and semi-regular second Wednesday, PP is second Wednesday of the month).

They're quieter with no pounding music. Fewer people, and both tend to be almost 50/50 single male/couple ratio (which we like as we look for single guys having little luck with couples) and we find them more relaxed.

Not everyone can do Wednesday daytimes, though.....

Our advice is this, go to which ever club is closest to you. Go, look around, take it in, do what you want to and don't do anything you aren't comfortable with. DONT tell anyone it's your first time at a club. Go home, sleep on it and see how you both feel in the morning.... good luck

I can’t comment on VA, but Penthouse can be a bit of a young crowd in our experience, we always have fun there as the dungeon is amazing.
