Last time I went was like eight years ago, and I just czeched (lol) the Internet and the place I was going to recommend is apparently no longer there. However, generally speaking it seems like CZ is a hotbed (lol again) of sexy activity in general - they're big into orgies, sex clubs, specialist glory hole clubs etc etc. There's a whole street not too far from the Central train station that was obviously the main 'Red light' area, it was a fairly broad mix of adult cinemas, sex clubs, brothels and everything in between. Trouble is when I was there I was on my own and wary of getting sucked into some kind of clip joint by accident, and as a solo male foreigner walking round that area, everyone is trying to get you to come into their place. I'm not exactly sure what the Czech approach to sexual services is vs Germany (I lived above a club on the Reeperbahn in Hamburg for a couple of years, and Germany has fully legalised prostitution, brothels etc - in fact it was a lot like Amsterdam, but minus the , mushrooms and art museums. Prague on the other hand *seemed* like everything was a bit less legal, and as a result a slightly more sordid vibe pervaded that particular street. Mind you the big, legal 'laufhausen' (brothels) in Hamburg did not seem especially sexy or alluring and a lot of the sex cinemas looked like they'd not see a lick of paint since the 70s. Czech Republic is on my list of places to revisit, though. I had an awesome time there, got really well looked after by locals, but I think the best times I had were outside Prague in other towns. The flip side though is once you're outside Prague, the language barrier is much greater, you go from almost everyone you speak to being able to hold down a conversation in English to people not speaking or understanding any English at all. My clumsy attempts at ordering food and drink in Czech won me a lot of laughs and a fair bit of good vibes, though. |
