Evening all,

What's the view of clubs which do not ask for membership or are relaxed about it? Does it make the swinging world a better place (or is it to its detriment). What say you?

Do you require membership to go to a night club? Was there ever a requirement to be a member of most clubs pre-covid days and was that ever to anyone's detriment. Most people that engage in swinging would prefer to remain anonymous and understandably so.

If clubs operate as a private members venue, legally they must record who their members are. They also then have the opportunity to choose, in advance, who they accept as members. Clubs without membership have to make entry decisions on the door which can present problems.

Are there any distinct advantages from operating as a private members club? There are clubs you go to who seem to have a members admission fee and normally allow couples in even of they are non-members. Seems like a wheeze to get additional money out of single men mainly.

The distinct advantage is the local authority won't grant you a licence if you don't operate it as a private members club.
