Hiya

Has anyone been to any bdsm clubs in Manchester. I know there are a few swingers clubs that have “dungeons” but wondered if there was anything that is set up in a similar way but wasn’t specifically swinging

Manchester chambers is a great place to meet, they have a few events but not loads, however you can book a room and have some fun with a partner there.

Staff are helpful and done a couple of rope play lessons with them (I’m rubbish still learning).

Yes. Is the short answer. The longer answer would depend on what you are seeking.

Someone mentioned that Partners in Bury hosts a kink event there once a month. Think it's the last Sunday of each month. Townhouse also host certain kink events, and have started to venture into cross-over events.

Kink is more the generic term for things that aren't vanilla, of which BDSM is just one aspect and even that is broken down into different kinks! (S&M, B&D and there's another which i forget!).

Kink events are different that swingers events as there is little expectation of pick-up play there unless you have already developed someone of a connection with those attending.

Kink tends to be more non-conformist and in areas like impact play, or bondage, it's vital to agree limits up front, agree safe words and do not vary out what has been agreed. RACK, SSC are acronyms to get used to ahead of time. Essentially agreeing consent is needed ahead of any play time.

Most people getting started would be best to join other internety pages like f e t life to learn about the scene. You can also attend local munches (online on discord or in person events all around and there's plenty of ones around Manchester). There allow you to get to know people first, discover if you have mutual kinks and then if you get on and agree, meet up to play!

Kink communities are not penis-driven... don't join and start up conversations like 'Hi do you want to do things to my penis, or can I play with your tits and tie you up'. You will get booted!! It's very cpnversation led, until you click and trust a person enough for them to let you play with them.

I've written loads for general info but OP may already know all this.
