My husband and I are interested in going to a club or venue, but want something a distance away to minimise risk of seeing anyone we know. Where is recommended outside of West Sussex, but not too far beyond.

I always imagine there being mansion parties like in the films with people in masks. Is this just me fantasising lol

You could head to Bristol Gardens Health Spa in Brighton - "naturist" rather than "swinging" and a gem of a place

Or head up to Abfabs/Kestrels or Hellfire which are West London and easy to get to from the motorway.

Hellfire on Wed night can be a quiet introduction (s London)

If you like the outside and it’s a nice sunny day then Ureika in Kent can be nice

BGHS in Brighton can be great fun and probably a tame introduction to the scene plus you can get to have lunch/dinner in Brighton

Being able to have some anonymity is important first time I think. Masks etc is a way of achieving that - didn't know if that was even a thing

Not at bghs it isnt and you are naked except for a towel.

Have a look at the various clubs mentioned above. I think VA (Vanilla Alternative) used to do a masquarade ball, so tuxedos and ball gowns and masks, by the sound of it this is what you are searching for but not sure if they still do.

But yeah, masquarade ball sounds like what you are looking for.

Good luck

Killing kitten parties are mansion parties and masks are worn for the first couple of hours from what I’ve read on their website. Maybe worth a look if that’s the vibe ur looking for.

Some clubs do the masked balls but we don’t see them as often as we used to. Maybe worth looking at club themes and event nights.

A lot of people have the idea of not going to their local club incase they see someone they know so ur prob safer going there than travelling as others have the same idea!

Pleasures in Kent would be a good start. They often do theme nights so you could wear a bit if a face covering if you'd prefer but in all honesty if you see anyone you know they're also there for the same reason and it's a bit of etiquette that what happens in the lifestyle stays within the lifestyle. Go and have fun

BGHS is good but just a health spa with some play areas upstairs. No membership needed. Kestrels near Heathrow is very good and friendly. But need to be a member. A good way of meeting like minded people. Is to go along to the Brighton Social. It meets once a month in a pub in Hove. There one this Saturday 10th. Very friendly and relaxed atmosphere
