Leighton Buzzard

We attended a NAKED spa day yesterday.

As expected and as per the rules, we handed over our mobile phones to get a locker key and access to the spa facilities.

Is there ANY circumstance, where another person in the spa should be allowed to be in possession of a phone, and be using it for social media?

I am somewhat incandescant that I am being told via private emails that because they were promoting an event, it was ok for them to be on their phone in and around the naked hot tub.

How would you feel to find out that they host events at your local lifestyle club?

Can you ever trust them to have good judgement if they think that it is ok for them to USE mobile phones in areas where they are banned?

We're both very shook that this might be acceptable, and it makes us doubt ever going to a club again.

I agree! The rules say no phones, so that should apply to everyone

Absolutely! All swingers clubs should have a "no mobile phones" rule that should be adhered to at all times. If you do need to use your phone, there should be a designated area for that (like at Kestrels, where there is a booth for that, away from play areas). Nudists clubs are a bit different- where I used to go, you could keep your phone on you but to take photos, you had to have permit from the club, and obviously consent of anyone in the photo.

I'd be very wary of any swingers clubs that has a very lax attitude to mobile phones, or applies different rules to different people.

I'd agree that no phones should mean no phones. If they were the hosts of that or a similar event, I'd expect them to be setting the standard not flouting the rule.

The only exceptions ought to be staff carrying a work phone (and in their pocket unless really needed) or *maybe* if the host really wanted pics of themself/other consenting guests, then for them to say that's what they want to do, that they'll have their phone for a couple of minutes, will only take a few shots of themselves, and why they're doing it, so everyone understands. That should be very much an exception though.

There should be no need at all.

Social media promotion should be set up with informed and willing participants or models.
