Anybody else going to Xtasia on Sunday 5th May, for

'FFFF (Fab Friends Free Fun) @ Xtasia, 5th May'

Free entry to the club and you don't have to be a member either, great way to check out the club or go back to check out the improvements. Think this could be one of thier busiest nights, wonder how close to maximum capacity they will get

Although it's a Sunday night, it is May Day Bank Holiday the next day, so plenty of people should be able to make it!

Get your name on the list in the Meet Requests and Parties Forum to get free entry.

Do they have changing rooms now as I don't drive so have to use public transport and that used to put me off going as there was nowhere to change once you got there and I didn't really want to be getting buses in what I was wearing in the club

I thought loads more people would put thier names down for free entry to Xtasia for a social! Maybe there will be a last minute rush when people realise what they will be missing out on

Yep, just checked and the room rate is still £29 per room if booked and paid for in advance, if you need a hotel, better get booking before the price goes up or of course they do actualy run out of rooms

Just wondering when the extension is going to be completed....

If memory serves right, I thought there was 260 people in the club on NYE and the club was packed then. If Lee's wishes come true and there really is 400 plus in, then there will need to be a raoid installation of air conditioning units in the cinema, the loft and the playrooms to say nothing of places for people to sit and/or play....

I know Xtasia is a big club, and for those who read my posts you'll know I like the club a lot and have helped to promote it but 400+ will be full. I think I might go and stand next to Flirt behind the bar....

Well 600 is the capacity for the club, so not going to hit that at this rate

lol.

Just a case of encouraging people to spread out well and make sure that Paul remembers to put the Air Con on early

Plus of course as everyone knows, not everyone on a guest list will actually turn up on the night either.

lol...if you recall 260 was in the dance area at midnight,,,the only time it really felt full. Rest of night was very comfortable, infact the top bar hardly served enough to warrant it being open

Major issue is going tpo be cloakroom at a guess, but hopefully the evenings of big coats is in the past...(should I really have said that??) Old owner assures us that 600 is busy/comfortable, lol.

600 is the official capacity for the club, but as already said, not everyone from the list will turn up. So even if the list goes to 600 people, the likelyhood is that between 400-450 will actually turn up.

A few thoughts on this, first off can't believe you closed the list at 487, watching the list grow over the weeks has been like watching a cricket innings grow and when does the cricket captain declare at 487 rather than waiting to get to 501, just joking btw, thats a magnificent number of people on the list in the first place.

It does make you think about this as a business model. This party has many attractions not least that it's free to enter so long as your on the guest list. At a wild guess though I'd suggest that Xtasia will make more profit on Sunday night than they do on most other nights simply by the quantity of people whom will be there purchasing refreshments over the bar. Whilst hoding something like this every weekend wouldn't work as the numbers would most likely drop significantly, it does make you think that if for example admission prices were slashed, would a club like Xtasia attract more people in and thus make it's money by having the numbers going through the door, which would potentially attract more people and supplement the profits from the bar sales.

I wouldn't pretend to know the in's and outs of Xtasia's running costs, but I'm sure this event will have given Paul and Flirt plenty to think about.

Just make sure the booze is there and the sleep is really going to have to wait till well after the weekend now

Just noticed The Premier Inn has rooms still available for anyone making a late booking. Be aware though the hotel is now asking £60 for the room, but if you say you are going to Xtasia they have an agreed room rate of £49 so save yourself the money.

Yeah, having a car does make life a hell of a lot easier that's for sure. Must get round to getting one at some point instead of hiring one for SPECIAL occassions
