"For some reason a previous post was taken down when people were asking about this club and when it will reopen.i hope it's soon.there has been no updates for a while.poor Ron must be devasted that it's taking so long.cant understand why if he had previous club,it's now being held back with cobstant red tape.any updates would be appreciated" There are a few threads on this subject already. Yes he did have a club before but that doesn't help with the building of the internal structures, the fire and building regulations and all the other stuff that goes with setting up a new venue. There have been a few updates both on the Facebook attic page and in the Fab forums but we can only give you updates if we have any to give or if they are relevant. Ron is chomping at the bit to open and so are the rest of the staff and when we finally get the work signed off and given the go ahead to open then everyone will definitely know!!!

"Can’t wait for this place to finally open be a great night really looking forward to going xxtheres been no updates for a while all gone very quiet.dont know whats holding them back." 65 fire rated doors. An obscene amount of power cables A top fire alarm system Over 25 metric tonnes of plasterboard. 7 main fire routes 3 sets of toilets 3 staircases More emergency/anti panic lighting than most hotels An absolutely ridiculous sized cinema screen. 30ltrs of fire resistant coating More cctv than a highstreet bank A complete venue rebrand The modern world has a lot of boxes to tick off especiallyfor a publicly accessible building and when you want over 500 people these little details become rather large ones, and there is no cutting corners getting them ticked off. A project can seem simple on paper but in practice is no simple feat. In the words of William Langland, "patience is a virtue". Or if you will from the words of Lady Mary Montgomerie Currie "all good things come to those that wait".

"See "Attic experience...delayed opening" on forum under Swinging Club Discussions - let your fingers do the scrolling.but thats been on for months.no new news since about January " As I had said previously, there are other threads with the information you are looking for. The Website hasn't been updated as there isn't much information to pass on. I'm sure they will.let.everyone know when they have any information they think you should know or is relevant. I can imagine the red tape and processes to change a buildings use and to build the internal structures to comply with building regulations takes a long time, it's not just throwing some beds on the floor and saying "we are open". Things are moving forward just not at the pace that Ron and the staff would like but unfortunately you can't rush 3rd party companies.
