Went to quest earlier and was put off having to have our picture taken for the new id entry.nothing on there web site saying this was happening.what happens if the back up drive gets hacked and your face pic gets out.we ended up leaving which was a shame

So you're worried somebody is going to hack a swinging clubs computer and leak a face picture of you? That's a level of paranoid I never wish to visit

Where would they "leak" it?

Who would be looking for it?

Why would this even happen?

You also have the option of saying no and going to a different club?

Nobody and I mean nobody cares if you visit an adult club or not guys x

The use of face pics/biometrics is the future so at some point every establishment will be using such methods from the local snooker club to swingers club's, I guess quest is just getting ahead of the curve, I did question it in my head when I read it in the foyer but to be honest there will be camera footage that's owned by the council/other businesses of us driving into the car park and probably even getting out of the car and walking in to the club so that's the footage that's more likely to get "leaked" and those cameras from the business next door that cover the car park have been there years.

We're regulars at Quest, they implemented the new system just before Christmas. It's a shame you feel that way as it's a great club.

As you are a happily married couple I can't see why you would be embarrassed if someone saw your face pic.

What would you do if you were playing in Quest and someone you knew saw you ? Wouldn't that be more embarrassing ?

It's so they can match up the new members cards to the members presenting them, it will stop the transfer of cards to non members.

They will scan the barcode which will show a photo of the member on their computer

Refusing to have a membership photo taken is a bit futile considering you have a quite recognisable face picture here on Fab.

Refusing to have a membership photo taken is a bit futile considering you have a quite recognisable face picture here on Fab.

Unless they've now removed it, there is a recognisable picture actually visible on the profile. I can't now check because they've blocked me for pointing this out.

Helps when or if someone gets themselves banned and tries to rejoin a few weeks or months later. Also people were known to borrow cards ( old ones ) so they didn’t have to pay the membership. It just controls membership makes it safer I guess?
