Kestrels £40 per Couple increase?

So have seen recently that in March Kestrels plan an increse in their prices.

To be fair some things are staying the same price which is good.

But couples entry for mondays, wednesdays and Sundays are going up to £40.

Seems alittle steep maybe?

A jump of 14.3%.

Whats everyone elses opinion?

No doubt their gas, electric and other bills have gone up a lot in the last few years?

"No doubt their gas, electric and other bills have gone up a lot in the last few years?"

Of course, its understandable that their cost have gone up too with inflation.

Just seems to be focused on the core part of the business, and busyest days... Sats not increased as I dont think they could justify it (especially with situations outside their control. Like ulez)

It might have been wiser to spread it more evenly across the business.. rather than focusing on key times and couples.

I don't mind to much. But had it been 35.00 37.50 (a 7.2%) increase, it would offer more incentive, in my opinion.

But yes I can imagine the rates/running costs near heathrow are high.

The price increases are more than justified by the large increase in energy costs and the need to pay their staff more.

It’s more than reasonable that they have kept the price the same on some of the days. So it’s still possible to there, enjoy the facilities and have fun for no increase if you choose your days!

Totally justified increase. I’m sure they’ve looked at their pricing. Minimum wage going up in April, utility price increases. It still represents good value for money in our opinion

Not sure what a single guy pays for Kestrels as I've never been but I was pay £40 seven years ago to get into some clubs (as a single male) so given the current economic situation £40 for a couple seems as cheap as chips to me.

You mean it has gone up from 35 to 40. I would guess it hasn't been increased for some time as businesses often hold back, keep prices steady for a year or two and then do one big rise. It doesn't seem unreasonable to me for two people. Obviously not a cheap evening but they have had big increases in costs I'm sure.

PS I've seen another place also increase prices for couples by £5 from this year.

Currently a single guy pays £40 Sunday - Friday for the day time. It will go up to £42.50 from March.

Friday evenings, single gents are £60 but that is staying the same.

Maybe I'd pop along in the daytime but £60 is outside my budget and of course, there's ULEZ....

Heathrowish

Either pay or stay away.

Personally, we love the place, it is local and we cannot recall any increase.

These have been inflationary times and the Spa facilities need ever more expensive power to keep going.

Unfortunately everything is going up at the moment & no-one likes the fact we're in a cost of living crisis but I'd rather pay a few xtra quid now then see it shut later- the running cost of just the pool & jacuzzis alone must be horrendous let alone staff, maintenance, laundry,

insurance's to name just a few things, it won't make a lot of difference to an individuals pocket but it will be the difference of the club maintaining its excellent standards or not- we used many clubs last year in a bid to find the best one for us & we still keep coming back to Kestrels/Abfab as in our opinion its the best value for money

Yes. I suppose thata fair given inflation and rising running costs.

Hows the pool recently? Last time we went it was really nice. Tempeture was perfect, it has been hit and miss in the past, but was good having it at a nice tempeture

Like I said, it's a £2.50 per person increase - on the days the club stays open later. If you attend on the days they close at 6pm, there's no change in price.

Take into account the staff wages, cost of gas, electric etc etc £2.50pp is nothing (even in %'s)

It does make sense when put like that.

Even my local leasure center is probably about 20 a person now. has shorter days no bar, and no nudity/sex lol...

Minus travrl its still inlone with a leasure center l, with more to offer

On average, businesses have seen an increase of 124% on their gas bills and 63% on electricity. Along with the other costs, business rates, VAT, licensing costs etc.

With everything going up it understandable

Staff cost heating etc

As long as the hot tubs are hot and the pool is warm

And staff are friendly as usual

It won't put us off we love the place

It's not £60 in the daytime for single guys. Only Friday night as it's been for years

A bacon roll from Weenzels has gone up from £2.65 to £3.60 - a 35% increase. I think Kestral's price increases are pretty reasonable!!!

To put the cost of Kestrels into perspective, a 2 hour session at the Royal Bath Thermae Spa, on a weekday, costs £41 per person so couples and single women are not paying (per person) anywhere near the going rate; they can thank market forces and single men for such a steal.
