FabSwingers.com forum: Travel advice sought for going to Cupids

Bit of a long shot, I know, but I'm looking for peoples advice and experiences using public transport to get to and from Cupids in the daytime.

I would be using the train to travel from Chester to Cupids and then back for a daytime event. The journey from Chester in the morning is easy enough.

I guess I'd be leaving Cupids about 6pm and would need to be in Chester by 9pm to be certain of then getting a connection home.

According to the timetables, it is very do-able so long as the trains are on time.

But, returning during the evening, does anyone else on here use the train and how reliable are the trains?

Really you would probably just need a Uber from Cupids to the train station. Not sure how far that is. But we stopped in deangate hotel and got a Uber to Cupids and then back if I remember right it cost about £29 for the 2 journeys don’t ask why but £14 going and £15 back. We’ve done a couple of daytime events and when we’ve been by about 3.30/5 o’clock some tend to start going and head back to the less naughty life style. Or probably worn out from all the fun they’ve had.

Thankyou.

But I'm not asking about getting between cupids and the nearest train station. (That is easily walklable!)

I'm asking about peoples experience of the part of the journey from / back to, Chester, which is similar distance to the journey from / to Stoke!

uber from Chester to Cupids is at least £50 each way - it's a tad out of my budget!

If stuff goes wrong with the trains and you have a valid journey plan and ticket then the train company (either TFW or Northern in this case) have to get you to you destination. Just ask the station staff at Chester if things have gone wrong and you’ve got stranded.
