We’ve been to all clubs in The Midlands and enjoyed them so much we haven’t been back to _he attic in months.

We’re interested in taking a quick peek at the new club to see how it compares to the original.

It’ll be hard to replicate what we had at the original place.

It was pretty good, some fine times were had, unique features nobody else had. The new place should do well if it's kitted out to a high standard.

You can get to Chams from Derby centre in an hour by car. Or Atlantis in Stoke in 50 minutes.

Totally doable.

"Any opening dates yet"

No.

The update on the Facebook group on sat said...

Update.

Old venue - for a handful of staff today will be the last ever visit to the old venue to collect the final elements from there. From tomorrow the space will be in the hands of the building owners.

New venue - last night we managed to complete some alpha testing (promise it wasn't just a staff party) but the disco works (musical choices were iffy at best), cinema was showing its usual educational material, the fridge keeps drinks cold and the food delivery found us no problem.

We are into the final push now and hopefully we will have some exciting news very shortly.

Missed you all last night and will miss you all tonight (still not a staff party [look Boris didn't have a "staff party", so neither did we]).

Libs is a lot smaller, but the quality of the fixtures is higher. Also members only stops the wanking dead.

Chams and Xtasia also have higher quality fixtures, members only again and reduces wanking dead by having no single men for some nights.

Attic has its place, but would be more attractive to us if they made it dress down at least some nights instead of fully dressed guys wearing duffel coats.

I would be inclined to agree with F&B. Especially given the quality of the overnight accommodation, unless they've improved it.

The accommodation on site was pretty dire when we stayed just after the big club refurbishment a few years ago.

Hoping The Attic is open in time for Cals birthday later this month.

Failing that it'll be Cupids for us.

We have been, I think we've attend most of the clubs north of Liberty Elite over the years. If I remember rightly, Chams is primarily a wet based club (sauna/hot tub). I wear hearing aids so it's not ideal for me.

Thanks for the suggestion though

I wouldn't say it was a wet based club lol, we've been a few times and although some people use the hot tub, many have no interest in it. It's just a normal swingers club.

There is definitely a place for it, as a smaller venue we appreciate it. But there's a place for the Attic, Chams, Xtasia and all the other. Depending what we want we can always get it.

We didn't like the pushy males in Chams. Good club friendly staff but everything that had stopped us going for years came to fruition on our visit in July, we had to tell some single males over and over again NO, think we said no more times Friday and Sunday night than we have in all the years we've been going to Attic. They just wouldn't listen which spoilt the vibe for us. Thinks it's due to people knowing Attic don't take to kindly to folk breaking the rules. We have only ever had 1 issue at Attic with a single guy and he was extracted within minutes as the staff keep everyone safe at all times. They are always about to help if anyone needs it. Great staff, great club. Roll on the next chapter of Attic Experience

Looking forward to it as well, unwanted attention always presents but at Chams we avoided it completely on a really busy party night at Halloween because Saturdays are couples and single ladies only. Had a minor issue at Chams for the summer BBW, but nothing worse than anything we've had at any other club including Attic.

When we get some free dates in January we'll think about a visit, see how well the decor and atmosphere have improved.

Must agree, the Saturday night at Chams had a much better vibe. It's a long way for us to travel for just one night. We stayed in their accommodation on the terraced area, we were so surprised at the quality of it, lovely apartment. Are you all ready?

Becuase here is the exciting news...

Anyone who found the old cinema small and cramped, ensure you take a look at the new one, more like a showcase cinema, but no popcorn, lol so if u haven't looked before, please do

This has just been released by the staff at the Attic….

Due to unforseen building work the Attic will remain closed for the coming period. Sorry for any inconvenience caused. We hope to update you shortly.

Sadly, I had already booked a hotel for this coming weekend before we saw it and it's nonrefundable

We had a premier inn booked the other week, no refund, when they closed after the Halloween Party, we did make a plan B for the Friday night so not all was lost and just had a meal in the pub the Saturday night. We also have Premier Inn booked for their NYE party, in fact we are going for Friday, Saturday and the NYE party, so we are keeping everything crossed they will be open by then as a Plan B for New Years Eve could be a little more difficult as places will have sold all their tickets. Think we can change the dates with our booking so that's what we'll do but means our NYE will be at home just the two of us, we will have fun though

Hopefully all sorted in time for NYE. We usually go to Pandora but might go to The Attic if it's open.

To be fair any couple who's booked a night away, well it's still a night away. Sometimes things like this can be a great opportunity to have some time together for yourselves. The club will always be there another week.

We get lots of time together. When we book a hotel away it's to get out and about, meet new people and have an adventure. Our together time is very precious and doesn't include the expense of getting away costing a couple of hundred pounds.
