What’s happened to this once great club… won’t be going back for a while, the big draw for us was always the lovely pool as we are both water babies, but jeeze, on Saturday night and Sunday the water was absolutely freezing. Apparently not being heated due to costs, but how can you have a spa with an un heated pool. Personally I’d prefer they put entry price up a couple of quid and give us back a nice warm pool to play in. So after giving up with the pool we thought we would do the cinema, but oh boy, it stank of urine. Now looking for another club that has a pool, might even try silverleighs or pleasures ??

We understand your comment about the pool ... but we were there on Sunday .. the jacuzzis were warm as toast and the pool was warm enough ... the comment about the cinema seems unsupported by our experience. We did not play in the cinema yesterday but visited and sensed no odour or issue. Each club visit has its own vibe and yesterday was very much couples and chilled (we prefer more wanton and active). We will stick to K and continue.

You are not allowed to play in the pool at kestrels anyway and it’s the temp of a normal leisure pool which you will find the exact same temperature at silverleigh if not colder there as we have been. The jacuzzis are there for warmth. I don’t adding a few quid to entry would cover the costs of heating the pool more with the energy costs at the moment I’m guessing!

Pleasures pool is rarely used when we have been there but prob a good idea to try these for your own experience although it’s not open on a Sunday daytime nor does it get the numbers ab fabs does unless it’s an event night.

It’s always been exceptionally clean when I’ve been in there and played with my friend.

I certainly don’t share your view of this

Did the staff tell you the pool wasn't being heated?

The pool was 29.3 degrees on Saturday night ( a member of staff was doing a pool test at that time I was in it) which is with in the 28-30 degrees the pool is set at.

A normal public swimming pool is 26 degrees in comparison. If you want things hotter that’s why there is 3 hot tubs ranging from 38-41 degrees!

Having not been to pleasures I cannot compare, but having been to silverleighs and eurekas the pool is much warmer at Kestrels and for a start it’s busier and has a nice crowd.

But hey each to their own and you can’t play in the pool at most venues. After all it’s a spa, not the sea or bath.

The cinema was super busy Saturday night and going from the action it was the smell of sex, which isn’t that uncommon after a heated session however it is one of the cleanest venues I’ve been in and staff regularly check bins, towel dispensers etc so I certainly have to disagree on the comments.

Didn’t say we wanted to play in the pool, but we did want to be able to relax and chill in the pool of a spa, and incidentally this weekend it was a lot colder than any public pool.

Agree, each to their own and we can all have opinions which won’t always be the same

Apologies your comment “give us back a nice warm pool to play in” made me think this. The temp is very warm outside the pool which can sometimes make it feel colder rather than a public pool where the temp outside is cooler. I agree the pool isn’t as warm as it used to be but think we just got spoilt a bit before as I’ve never found a pool since as warm as it used to be.

The pool was quite cold when we went last. Just 1degree warmer would make quite the difference

The pool at DV8 isn’t as nice or large to be fair, but is 38 degrees, lovely and warm, we are just disappointed, we know running costs are high, but when we go there for a weekend, with the hotel and meals, we spend well over £300, yet we could go to a four or five star spa hotel for that, although we know we couldn’t go naked lol

Old Harlow Essex

I've tried both silverleigh and eurekas, both clean and offer diffrent type of vibe. However kesterals is way ahead in terms of facilities and people, Ofcourse all depending on what you want out of a club. I agree pool at ksis cooler than it used to be but once you've taken the plunge you warm up quite quickly and the cinema I hadn't noticed the urine smell as air con was blasting away nicely. Overall a great place to chill and play. If va are open during the day thats well worth a visit, large jacuzzi swimming pool size, clean, plenty play areas, etc

I disagree with the smell of urine in the cinema.

Maybe all in your mind because of how "pissed" off you were, anyway?
