"Hi all, What the verdict on Euerka Sun club in Kent? Naturist resort? Are you allowed to play in the pool/outside? Looks like a good choice for the summer. Thank you in advance x" Nothing sexual in or around the pool area or on the top field…. But the bottom field and woods are ok. No sex in hot tubs either. You will be asked to leave if caught

"I went to Eureka today and renewed my Gold Membership. Others are doing likewise. The Pool area has been repainted and although not heated the water is full and clean. I spent all afternoon up by the pool and really felt I was home again. Can't believe how high in the sky the sun is already. I'm hoping to see lots more of the regulars back there again soon. There is absolutely no other place like Eureka in summer." Hear hear!

"Hopefully, a sunbathe this afternoon, if the weather doesn't change by then. I'm tied up for lunch otherwise would go out there earlier. Great news about the main showers being hot again. If that's the case I will probably go up there anyway for a tub soak even if it is iffy outside." Lucky you some of us gota work have a great afternoon. Well jel

"I thought eureka closed down? The existence of this and other recent threads is proof that it hasn't! The owners applied and were granted planning permission to build on the land. They either plan to do so or plan to sell the land as is with planning permission. That much is obvious as no one would apply just for the fun of it. The unknown quantity is when. The current leaseholders (the people who rent it off the owners) simply refuse to engage with anyone and give them an answer. I think it would be reasonable to assume that if they had a really long lease remaining they would have said so. Either that or they just aren’t bothered enough to explain! It seems now to be a case of enjoy it while it lasts and take a membership out at your own risk.

" They have already put out a statement saying its not going any time soon as there currant lease for the building has 4years plus on it still and if people actually went down there and spoke to the owners or staff they would also hear it from the horses mouth but people are to easy to jump on here and talk things they dont no and cause doubt

"That has to be a false statement because once planning has been granted you have 3 years to start building or you have to reapply " You simply have to start a material operation under the planning permission which could be as simple as upgrading the road or building a storage shed - you do not have to actually commence the build of the properties. Once commenced the planning permission remains indefinitely. See this link https://www.markdoodesplanning.co.uk/keepingyourplanningpermissionalive.html#:~:text=But%20what%20constitutes%20Commencement%3F,thereby%20keeping%20it%20alive%20indefinitely.

There you go again - letting the facts get in the way of a bad rumour!

Where was this statement? There was certainly assurances that a statement was forthcoming, that current club owners were going to announce something on here, but still nothing and there is still no statement or any relevant information on the club website to provide anyone any reassurances whatsoever. The silence from the club is deafening

"Tbh… it doesn’t matter how long a lease has.. all that will happen would be the land owner (bilings) would financially pay off the current lease holder the remaining time and length left. By starting forfeiture proceedings. " Is that a fact that you are personally aware of that a financial payment to buy out the lease is happening? On what basis would forfeiture proceedings be commenced? Are you aware of a breach of the lease terms? Or is this pure speculation and rumour mongering?

"I’m certainly looking forward to spending a few hot weekends there this summer, no place like it! " Good on Ya. Positivity will always win in the end! So what if it shuts or doesn’t at some unspecified time in the future. Enjoy the beautiful grounds still while you can.
