Local club - strange request

Down the back of the sofa.

We attended our local club on Saturday night. A few things had changed since our last visit, which I think was around a year ago. They may or may not be linked

Firstly, they had a new phone policy. No phones in the club at all. Leave them in the car. That’s fine, I thought not a problem. Little odd as most places say locker for phones.

The other rule that’s odd, no mentioning the club online or leaving a review here! Both my wife Kittydagger and I can’t work out why! Surely word of mouth is the best way to promote a club?

One theory I have is that they have maybe had a disgruntled review or two.

Kitty thinks their license may not be fully in place, and they don’t want evidence of people going?

Either way I find it a bit dodgy!

I’ve not mentioned the name for obvious reasons!

There is at least one club I know who has had a falling out with fab. Maybe that’s why they ask you not to review on here.

Alto is like to know how they will enforce that!

And the phone thing is a bit odd. My phone controls my car so it wouldn’t lock if I left it in the car.

If every car in the carpark has a phone or two in it, won't it become a target for theives ?

Yea, but we’ve checked the review page and the forums and I can’t see any bad publicity

It really doesn’t online reviews are a large part of commerce these days, this is an odd rule.

About the phones yes, someone took pics! I guess I’d say be more vigilant around the phone thing but you can’t watch everyone

Neither of the two localist clubs to ‘Tauntonish’ have had reviews for over a week…. Is it the one in a town on the sea or the jewel stones one, and does this mean people are complying with this request?
