Hi everyone, we are off to our first ever club visit on the 11th (cupids) and are (very) nervously excited. It's our first time in a swingers club so going to be an experience for us. One worry we both have is that we are both very body conscious. We lack confidence in our appearance and are not skinny by any means..... F is size 20-22 with "mum tum" and M is not thin but not super chubby either, typical dad bod. We are worried we will walk in and it will be full of beautiful people and we will feel out of place and even more body conscious and anxious. It's a dress down club which we are fine with.....can someone alay our fears or are we right to be self conscious in this scenario? We certainly dont want to walk in an people look and mutter "who are these uglies". Might be a needless worry but a worry for us nonetheless.

Thanks R & R XXX

In our experience swingers clubs are rarely the playground of the glorious Insta crowd.

It’s generally just normal folks with normal bods in all shapes and sizes.

We have rarely though found a less judgmental environment than a swingers club so go, be yourself and own it.

Have fun.

Exactly this! You'll still find that not everyone fancies each other, like anywhere else, so go with no expectations of play with others and just look to have a fun night out half naked!

I personally think it’s one of the clubs greatest achievements in so much that no one judges, not by appearance anyway. It’s more to do with you, as a person. your see all types of bodies mixing around and people tend to gravitate to those that they’re attracted to, this includes more so your personality.

There’s something very sexy about a person who holds themselves right, gives off confidence in themselves. Not arrogance, just confidence.

You be you and enjoy the experience.

I was worried about this but one thing I've learnt since being on here is to embrace your curves and body.

From my first experience it was a mixture.

I know this is easier said than done, but seriously don’t even sweat it. Wear something that makes you feel good!

Cupids is a brilliant club, I like the dress down rules as it takes away some of the awkwardness and shyness. You really do see all shapes and sizes and everyone is welcomed one you are inside and mingling you won’t even care. X

Generally you find the majority of clubs full of "normal people" or a cross-section of different classes, ages and physical appearance that is the wonderful thing about it. We'd identify as one of those people and feel more relaxed about the pretential atmosphere.

Remember that we are all in the same situation and unlike the online side of things image isn't so important. Attitude, personality and body language all plays a far bigger factor. would think that everyone would probably have one form of anxiety or another so don't feel like you are alone.

Yes there are a tiny few "exclusive" clubs who only let in the slimmer, younger or posher end of the spectrum but that probably doesn't fit in with the core of swingers and easily to just pass them by and find somewhere less pretentious
