Me and my gf are looking to do our first club over the Xmas/ new years break and was wondering what the best one to try first?

Willing to travel so destination doesn’t matter

I have only been to op4f in north London and it was great for singles and couples...just the right amount of folks and nice vibe.

I would say Purple mamba. It's not as big and intimidating as some clubs with a very friendly, inclusive atmosphere. If you read their reviews you will see a lot of people go there for their first club experience.
