Sorry my comment disgruntled was meant to be in relation to the comment made by the T Lady about drowning sorrows in the pool.

Yes I agree the club today is not the same club as it was before Covid. The owners made changes and as most people will say the changes are for the worse and not the better.

The owners don’t seem bothered that people are not returning and going elsewhere and that new things are popping up which offer more variety etc.

Hence I am no longer associated with the venue and it is the treason above that I resigned.

Perhaps the more of these that appear then ears may listen!

How is it a disagreement between 2 clubs ?? The forum post says is it worth going and people are commenting saying no it isn’t and a couple of people have said go _lub play so where is the disagreement you publicity post ??? I see no disagreement between 2 clubs unless I’m missing something

We all pay money to go places so are we now not allowed to voice our opinions or do we not have a freedom of speech now ???

Customers should be able to post their views, and reviews should be an open discussion of negative or positive points about clubs and clubs should take note and act upon them.

Brilliantly some clubs have moved forwarded and evolved with the change sadly some have not. They have either stalled or fallen behind due to different factors - too many to list here.

Good or bad criticism should always be a positive marketing tool!

Wow, you’re about as out of touch as infusion, Club Play is in a different league and certainly doesn’t need to have any disagreement, Infusion is an old age home for swingers,90 % of the time dead, staff like Jay Linz mark have all bailed due to the disgusting practices by the owners it’s absolute shite, the long term males can now be found at Play

Yes I agree with what you say when a post specifically refers to one club another club should not be mentioned or brought into the discussion as it then makes the other club look like they having a say when the owners are probably keeping quiet out of respect.

However people will always say what they prefer for a variety of reasons. Everybody will have a choice just like they will have a club favourite or preference etc.

We have a weekend booked in Blackpool and are going to Club Play one night but we’re also considering an evening at Infusion. The reviews here are mostly good, so is it wrong for me to ask peoples opinions. What is so wrong with the place ?

I'm not sure it's neccessary to bring in other clubs, as they're all different. I've been to both, and they are very different, but in terms of the original question, I don't think there's anything really "wrong" with Infusion. I've only been on what I expected would be quiet nights anyway, so didn't expect it to be heaving on a Thursday, and it wasn't. And yet, I also ended up playing with a very beautiful single lady on a Thursday night with a few other single guys.

I had considered not going ("It's Thursday, it'll be quiet") but if everyone says and thinks that it will be quiet and doesn't go, then of course it will be, it becomes a self fulfilling prophecy.

I've no idea about the politics alluded to above. I didn't have any specific problems, the staff were friendly and the level of cleanliness appeared good. Beyond that, it's a question of taste I suppose.

I found that as a single guy, the pool means I have something to do other than prop up the bar if it's quiet, and the jaccuzzi being in the main room (rather than in a side room as at some clubs) means I can lounge in there and relax but still see what's going on, have a conversation or feel part of it.

A very balanced and fair response. And in fairness, perhaps I shouldn’t have asked. Everyone looks for “their” thing and some clubs will have it, others may not.

We don't like to post on threads about other clubs but we want to make it crystal clear we have no connection with any of the comments made about infusion.

Unfortunately naturally people will always compare the two clubs but the views in this thread are not ours and we do not comment on other clubs and our only concern is our own club and moving it forward positively xxx

First of all, this is not a disagreement between two clubs; as far as I can see neither club has said anything about the other club. Both clubs have their positives, and one of which is they are both staying out of the customer reviews.

Second, I have been to a good number of clubs in the past, and I have my favourites, but that doesn't mean the others are bad. Since the pandemic I've only really been to one club, Club Play, so can't comment on anyone else, so I'm not going to.

As far as my view of Club Play is concerned I have only ever known two other clubs that could compete, in terms of welcoming, facilities, and event variety: One was in London, and the other was here in Blackpool, and was called: The Unit, but it has closed down a while ago. I did love that place.

Club Play is definitely up there as my current favourite, followed by W3, and I used to like Infusions before the pandemic, but like I said, I've not been for a while.

Been twice to infusion and had no problems at all. The staff are very helpful and the clientelle are decent to.

However if timing isnt crucial id advise go to 1 club on 1 night and then the other a seperate and see what your own preference is

Saturday - daytime & night

Sunday - daytime & night

A daytime opening event midweek once a month.

This will be a gradual change in 2023 with Fridays & Saturdays continuing as our big party nights & Thursday and some Sundays having new set monthly events.

This is a massive investment and change for Club Play but one that we feel is necessary to move the club forward positively as we grow in popularity and to give our customers what they are asking for xxx

We used to love Infusions, dropping the couples only every Saturday hasn't helped. To pay entrance to drink own drinks in no vibe venue isn't worth it. We've tried twice recently, unfortunately both times not impressed.

Agree with you say BUT it shows how clubs are different to each other. Better than each other and more variety than others.

Both are in Blackpool, within close proximity of each other, but shows two very different clubs, offering two very different settings but ultimately content at the club is different.

If both clubs were the same it would be boring!

Sadly they won’t accept the negative reviews are the true reflection of the customers. Burying a head in the sand springs to mind.

Anybody knows good/bad reviews are good for business in reality. Sadly here it’s not the case

As already stated we don't like posting on other clubs threads but... if people are comparing our club with others or bring our name into the discussion and blaming us for the comments of others we feel we have the right to reply in a positive way and put the record straight xxx"

You have to look after your image and protect your business. A bad business should not tarnish other good businesses.

A good business is hard to build but if you don’t invest or build on it, then it will crumble.

Your high numbers and continued high attendance prove that you do this.
