Advice/Meet up please all.

We are stopping off in the midlands on our jouney south for Christmas to attend a Fri night of fun club. We did Chams last year. Great time. But this year people seem to be talking about Xtasia? We like couples and guys. A relaxed fun filled evening. Anyone got this dilemma? Let us know. Be good to meet up. Much love and festive joy. Her and Him. Xo

Hi Peachycouple,

Well I'm going to make a guess that the Friday in question that your travelling south is 21st December, so I'll make the case for Xtasia.

On that night there is a Foam Party, full details are on the Xtasia website. The owners of Xtasia have a thread on FAB about it, and it's also part of a social night organised off another website. Looking at the numbers off here and the other site, there looks to be about 100 people saying they'll be going plus others whom wouldn't be users of either site.

The Friday night at Xtasia is mixed, to me the Foam Party adds something different and the Premier Inn Hotel is 1 minutes walk from the club, with the club being 5 minutes from J1 of the M5.

I've never been to Chams so can't comment, though I'm sure they'll be having something good on to. The biggest difference between the 2 clubs is Xtasia is a night club style club so you can dress up as your keeping your clothes on for a good part of the evening (they are saying shorts, swimwear or nothing for when the foam starts at midnight), while Chams is a towel club where you undress shortly after arriving.

If you do decide to go to Xtasia drop me a line and maybe we can share a drink at the bar. Wherever you end up though have a safe journey and a great night.

I've been to both clubs and enjoyed both clubs, I've let my membership toChameleons lapse, but still a member at Xtasia. Both really good clubs, the changes that have taken place at Xtasia has turns a once good club into a fantastic place to dance, have a drink and meet some fantastic people.

Regarding Chams and Xtasia in our view. They are two different types of clubs and to compare them is difficult with a clothed night club approach to a towel based club. Xtasia is getting talked about as it has been taken over by someone. We have been to see the club when we first started swinging we were dubious about towel clubs so we started off at x tasia. We found xtasia more like a night club but with nothing to compare it to we enjoyed it. Then we decided to go to Chams and since then really enjoy the towel clubs.

X tasia has hit the chats now due to xtasia being taken over by new people. We have been to the club and there have been a lot of changes to the downstairs room. This is now separated into lockable rooms but with mirrors so you can look over the top (which would not be our preference). There is a room with a camera in that sends a signal to (hopefully just) upstairs. Some people will love this I am sure. There are other ideas that the new owners have done but we guess it would still be more the night club with shagging areas. When we went it appeared to appeal to more the younger group. When we visited recent when the club was closed we did find something the owner say to us that we took a little personal and that did make us chose not to visit when open. However to be honest the club appears to be turning round and who knows where it is going. The new owners have ideas and they are putting it into practice to try and regenerate the place. However although we prefer chams we are trying to give a fair description of both. Once we broadened our horizons and tried the towel clubs we are converted. Chams is warm and welcoming, the staff are great and we have had no problems there. We found that there are regulars at Chams and as we can be shy to approach people this makes it easier when people get to know you. We also love the hot tubs and the steam room too. Nice to get to relax there. The bar area is cosy to get to know people. All of our swinging friends we have were met at chams. (Apart from our neighbours lol). I think the only way to choose between the clubs is your own taste. If you want a night club feel with a shagging area then Xtasia, if you want (what we think would be more aimed at swingers then Chams). Also if you want a dress up night club type scene then xtasia, if you want to get out the clothes then Chams is the option.

We choose chams every time and only miss out on chams if we are working. However that is our choice and I am sure that there are people on here who think the other way round. We just prefer Chams.

Debate is great if accurate, so just a quick butt in to correct a couple of statements.

Some rooms do not have mirrors, and are private. We also have the loft rooms which are left almost totally dark.

The camera feeds direct to the TV on the upstairs bar for exhibionists, and goes no where else! Probably our Electriciam will conform this for you.

We have more 40+ members than 40- members currently.

We agree with everything you say about Chams. Personally if it was the 21st this couple are thinking of travelling, we'd go to Chams for most of the afternoon and early evening, then come for a dance around 10ish, before foam starts at midnight, and we revert to towels!!

About time neighbouring clubs worked together

Hi all. Firstly thanks for the replies and details. We are very humbed by the efforts. Sounds like 2 very different places and styles. We like the sound of both and the people who like them. Choices choices. You lucky Midlanders. Oh for such a choice nearby. We will make our choice sometime soon and we will gladly provide anyone we meet from this forum a Christmas beverage, some high class chat and a laugh when we see you. Enjoy everyone. Xo.

Adding on to the message from earlier I would like to point out that I was told by the owner that the camera feed was upstairs to the TV that is in the couples room. I did say in a previous comment that the feed from the camera goes upstairs but I did not explain that this was to a tv for the exhibitionists and am told by the owner that is the only reason why it is used. On reading it back me missing that point could have been misinterpreted. One again I say that the clubs are both good but we have our preference to a towel based club. Just a pity that most clubs in the area have couples nights on the same night.

If you are after a night club environment with a twist of sex and a dress up time fun then X tasia is a better option, if you want a towel based club with water and steam rooms then Chams is the one. The clubs are so different it really is down to the individuals and what they want.
