Hi ...iv been to a few clubs and parties but with friends,,,after attending quite a few then i would have no problem in going alone, there is no pressure whatsoever. Some people complain about single guys but iv never had any problems with them

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

I must admit its easier to go the first time with mates so you can get an idea of what the club is like. Then I go alone after that with no problems.

I like to sit at the bar to check people out. People are usually friendly and it won't be long before someone strikes up a conversation. If you get bothered, use your heels or tell the club staff.

Cher here, I have walked into a club on my own, knowing that someone I know would be there and it was another woman.

I went to Adam and Eves, and the staff do look after you there, normally stay in the bar area, as you can see who is coming in and chat to people there.

Cupids I have heard also look after single women.

You also have the Townhouse near you, and again the staff will look after you and show you around.

Try making some female friends who attend the clubs you want to go to then arrange to meet up inside the club

Quite a few ladies look for an escort to go with them.

Im a single woman and i always go to clubs alone, i have tried finding a guy to go with but things have never worked out, i have found in the past if i go with guys they just used me as acheap entry or as a offering to palm off on other men so they can shag his wife, i find i prefer going alone, ive never had any problems, i can do what i like and play with who i like that way, so long as your the type of person who can say a firm no to people you'll be fine

Im lucky I've always had single girl friends to go with, now however i know which clubs Im comfortable in & would go alone. The staff in a good club will keep an eye on things & as long as you're confident in saying no then it should be a good night.

On the plus side, going alone is refreshing, you can do as you like, with no one ever knowing (unless you tell them) meaning you can really let your hair down

Try attending a social being held at a club, and contact those who are attending to exchange pics in advance etc...

This way, you won't be alone.

Once you have built up your confidence about going to clubs, you should be able to go on your own.

Have fun!

Make sure you get a full guided tour and then ask whoever took you round to introduce you to a few people.

Decide what your boundaries are and if you want to play on your first trip. That can be a good option while you are sussing things out.

Don't be embarrassed to say no thanks if you get offers and you're not interested. Or to state an interest if you are! Regulars will not be offended or put out - in fact they will prefer a clear statement to someone who dithers.

If anyone does get pushy or handsy then don't be afraid to call them on it. Stay calm but clearly and firmly tell them you are not happy and please stop. If they don't then talk to staff.

If you feel like you are being followed or crowded don't seethe quietly. These guys would probably be gutted to realise it so just tell them/ask them to give you some space. The single guys are often nervous of how to approach a lady so hover hoping you'll approach them.

Don't be scared to introduce yourself and tell people it's your first time by yourself.

And if all else fails hit smokers corner even if you don't smoke - often the most chilled out conversations go on out there!

Good luck and enjoy.

Warrington & Glasgow

No3 Club is fairly close to you. They have a Social evening on a Thursday 7pm till 10pm. You can then leave at 10, or, if you feel comfortable, stay + play. Give Mary a ring for a chat, the number is on the web site, which you'll find on the Fab club review page.

ooh the smokers corner 1 is gold. Will allow you to take time out & sus if anyone is following you. Not that anyone should but out there you can sit and chat or stand silent by yourself as smokers corners are very relaxed
