I thought patrons had to be dressed down in certain parts of those clubs?

Sorry for any confusion, I was referring to clubs which don't have a dress down requirement at all.

The Gatehouse doesn't require dress down in any part of the club at any time..it's the customers choice. However, no nudity in the public areas. Public meaning social areas where people can be socialising such as the lounge and seating area. You can be dressed down or casual clothing.

Yes,what I meant was that some clubs require men to change into boxers/towels and ladies their lingerie/towels whilst in any area of the club, either for the entire evening or at a certain time.

I was wondering if there are clubs that don't require this and you can stay dressed if you wish.

Same here.

I personally love Townhouse, being able to dress up sexy and party on the ground floor and then head upstairs when I'm feeling naughty and confident, dress down and have hours of fun.

With Townhouse you are permitted upstairs clothed before a certain time. Think its 2230. So if you wanna exolore first, then you can.

I've been to a few other clubs that don't dress down, the mood in them always feels alittle flat.

Everyone's loitering waiting for someone to undress and have a play, which then results in a hoard of people wanting to spectate. Dress down clubs flow much better imo.

It's the same at ClubF. Dress down is only required in the open playrooms upstairs after a certain time (which might be 10:30). I think you can stay dressed in the dungeon and private rooms downstairs at any time. And there's no play or nudity allowed in the bar.

It's to help people feel comfortable. The bar is the safe area for the new and nervous. And it's less enjoyable to play in front of a fully clothed audience.

My understanding is that clubs that require dress down on entry are a small minority. Most will let you stay dressed, at least in the bar, if you choose.

Jaydees doesn't have a dress down policy anywhere..you wear what you want (dress code permitting) where you want.. you will see naked ppl on the dancefloor and fully clothed in all play areas .. even in the hot tub you can wear a swimsuit.. not everyone is body confident and we feel it doesn't put anyone off when everyone gets to wear what they want to feel the most comfortable and attractive.. find it leads to a much better experience for all in my opinion

Club play is simlar in that downstairs you can stay dressed as long as you like which includes the Dungeon on the same level. This also covers all our main socail areas, bar area & dance floor on the ground floor.

We only have 2 levels at _lub play so the 1st floor that has all our main play areas is dress down. This means underwear or a towel we can provide free.

Every clubs different in its feel & personality and design. Some suit dress down on arrival and others not. For us we feel we have the right balance for our club xxx

Actually you're quite wrong. A lot of clubs give you a key and towel and you're not allowed into the club area with street clothes on.

Well the non dress down places still have bedrooms that have a lock on the door unless you go into an open orgy type room and extremely unlikely you'd ever get fully dressed people in those rooms.

I/we really can't see what the attraction might be of having folk wandering around the play areas in their civilian clothes!

Almost every club that Jayne & I frequent across the Channel has a "lingerie hour" after which time everybody - in all areas of the venue - is expected to don something a little more "comfortable"

Without this encouragement, as a previous poster said, you might have several couples dying to strip off, dress up and play all waiting for another couple to make the first move.

The only exception I can think of is couples' only night at Acanthus - but by 22:30 if you're still in your street attire then you're the ones who'll feel like the odd ones out.

DOI - Jayne is a bit of a lover of the dressing-up box

We don't mind what folks choose but do find it a bit off-putting if we are playing and someone is having a look fully dressed, tends to kill the sexy atmosphere.

Think you've misunderstood what it actually means.

Having a no dress down policy doesn't suggest that people are fully dressed in play areas. It means that you have the choice whether or not to dress down in the social (non sexual activity ateas)

Just throwing Amigos Leicester into the ring. Dress code wise you just wear what you feel. It's a very relaxed and friendly club. Although having said all that jumping into the hottub fully suited and booted may get you in trouble

I talked to a few people at a club yesterday about a club I'm going to try tomorrow and they said how off-putting it was to have fully clothed men approach them when they were playing and fully clothed people sitting close by. I think I'd feel the same.

Dress down clubs are my favourite and where I feel more comfortable in my own skin. And I agree it puts people on a more equal level and removes the opportunities for people to make first hand pre-judments and assumptions based on what you have on. And to a bigger extreme something that I equally like in social naturist environments. No one has status when you're as naked as everyone else. You are just as vulnerable and human as the next person. It really helps (suprising) in making people more at ease with each other and helps bond them. That's why naked nights were brilliant at Chameleon's and offered a slightly different vibe and experience.

Plus I find the constant dress up, dress down, dress up thing in some clubs just total pain. Same as My Girl. Once our clothes are off they're off. I remember one club where we were having a great time in a huge group room. It was hot work and lots of fun. I put my boxers back on and popped out to get us a drink from the bar. It's late in the evening and to my suprise at the bar I'm the only one dressed down. Everyone else was suited and booted. Just didn't feel my sort of environment. Then to add insult to injury finding my clothes amongst a huge pile of everyone else's clothes on the floor of this dark room (as in dark to see, not as in an actual dark room). was a nightmare. And just an unnecessary pain in the arse. I much prefer to arrive, strip down and leave the outside world behind.

However I get the dressing up is a huge part for some people and that's fair enough.

I understand your point but have to disagree on the non judgemental/ all on the same level point.. naked ppl are judged just the same if not more so on their weight, flabby bits, saggy bits, stretch marks etc etc so to say there is none or less is not factual and there is still a status hierarchy with the slim athletic ones taking somewhat centre stage and leaving others feeling more than inadequate.

It has to be an each to their own and whatever makes the person feel the most sexy and comfortable in my view.. I would not feel at all confident naked yet ooze it when dressed

Dress down clubs are my favourite and where I feel more comfortable in my own skin. And I agree it puts people on a more equal level and removes the opportunities for people to make first hand pre-judments and assumptions based on what you have on. And to a bigger extreme something that I equally like in social naturist environments. No one has status when you're as naked as everyone else. You are just as vulnerable and human as the next person. It really helps (suprising) in making people more at ease with each other and helps bond them. That's why naked nights were brilliant at Chameleon's and offered a slightly different vibe and experience.

Plus I find the constant dress up, dress down, dress up thing in some clubs just total pain. Same as My Girl. Once our clothes are off they're off. I remember one club where we were having a great time in a huge group room. It was hot work and lots of fun. I put my boxers back on and popped out to get us a drink from the bar. It's late in the evening and to my suprise at the bar I'm the only one dressed down. Everyone else was suited and booted. Just didn't feel my sort of environment. Then to add insult to injury finding my clothes amongst a huge pile of everyone else's clothes on the floor of this dark room (as in dark to see, not as in an actual dark room). was a nightmare. And just an unnecessary pain in the arse. I much prefer to arrive, strip down and leave the outside world behind.

However I get the dressing up is a huge part for some people and that's fair enough.

I understand your point but have to disagree on the non judgemental/ all on the same level point.. naked ppl are judged just the same if not more so on their weight, flabby bits, saggy bits, stretch marks etc etc so to say there is none or less is not factual and there is still a status hierarchy with the slim athletic ones taking somewhat centre stage and leaving others feeling more than inadequate.

It has to be an each to their own and whatever makes the person feel the most sexy and comfortable in my view.. I would not feel at all confident naked yet ooze it when dressed "
