We have finally arranged our first club visit. I get that you wear smart casual in social areas but when it says to dress down in other areas but what does that actually mean? Does it mean strip down to underwear/lingerie or does it mean everything off?

Behind the bike shed!

For us it’s fancy bedroom lingerie! Maybe a full three piece set and stockings or a bodysuit/babydoll. Occasionally a body stocking! Kitty usually wears a bedroom robe too, something see through!

Unfortunately for men the choice is cack. I normally go for a pair of nice patterned boxers. Some wear towels.

Depends which club and what their requirements are. The clubs that operate a dress down policy basically means that no street clothing so usually lingerie etc for the lady and shorts or towel for the guy. The lady can wear a towel of course either as well as or instead of lingerie

We start with smart casual and change to towel later. It's just easier. M

Well it depends where you go. Most clubs don't give the option of staying in clothes as a dress down policy means exactly that

Really depends on the club. But dress down to me is something you wouldn’t wear on a night out, could be lingerie, a towel, or I’ve worn a skirt and bralette before. A x

Different clubs have different variations. Our club is split over 3 floors. The ground floor is a huge social / bar / dance floor and you can remain fully dressed. The play rooms are located on the first and second floor and "street clothes" are not allowed. Most ladies dress in nice lingerie or underwear, some go naked and carry a towel. Guys tend to be boxers or again naked with a towel. The reason for the dress down is so everyone upstairs is even. Not some dressed down whilst single guys with a hasmat suit shuffles by

We prefer places that are dress down in all areas. It's such a faff to keep getting dressed and undressed all the time.

Yeah some clubs can be relaxed for women but if the club has a dress down policy then the guys have to dress down. Some clubs, mainly the Gatehouse allows you the choice to dress down or not.

It doesn't mean that you can't dress down in any club but some girls and guys can feel intimidated especially on their first visit to get dressed down. If you choose to dress down then that's your choice

We're also thinking about taking the plunge and visiting a club and this might sound like a really daft question but when folk "dress down" do they ever wear anything on there feet? Or do these areas all tend to be fine for bare feet..... sorry if its a daft question

Not a daft question at all. When we went to our first club night I was a nervous wreck thinking we’d break some sacred dress code and stand out as newbies.

When men dress down they usually wear towels and bare feet or sliders. I’ve seen women with bare feet if they’re going between rooms but normally they have footwear on.

I wear thigh high boots biter only do the social side so far.

It’s so much more relaxed than you imagine.

Enjoy

Viv
