Hi all

I'm a single man who wants to go to clubs, usual fear of turning up and people not being welcoming.

Have any of you been as a singleton, what your experience like.

It's no different to regular places, approach people respectfully and you'll be welcomed. Stand in the corner staring at people not trying to strike up any conversations and you may find people will give you a wide birth

Just treat it like going to the pub, the bonus being most aren’t wearing much. Then try to get into conversation with people avoiding sex talk and enjoy the social side first time. Anything else is a bonus. And if you get chatting to people and get on try to get some veris.

^ this. I find people more open to conversation than anywhere else.

Walk in like you own the place and pretend you know the barman by calling him ‘Terry’ and it’s all gold after that….

No one will make things happen for you, you have to step up and interact with people. It's hard, I know from the position of being a socially awkward weirdo. However what you get out of it depends how much your willing to put yourself out there and introduce yourself to others. Plus in the real world you can project your character and nature far better than you can online. So it's also your chance to shine. So don't sit in the corner on your own and don't join the ranks of the wanking dead. Put yourself out there in the social spaces in a freindly, confident non pushy way.

Treat everyone with respect and pleasantness. People will watch how you interact with others and may introduce you to freinds even if they're not personally interested in you.

Also tell the staff it's your first time. They will show you around, give you tips and maybe introduce you or help you break the ice with some regulars.

Always found people welcoming if you engage in conversation and don’t just follow around.
