Gatehouse bolton

Thinking of attending the above tomorrow but never been before. Anyone else going that can help make my morning less nerve-wracking? Not even sure what time to be there etc. Wanna go as early as possible though.

The Gatehouse is open from 10 am to 3 pm. Today is the greedy girl event and everyone is welcome and most are nervous for a few minutes. It's £20 entry today and no membership required. Refreshments are available too.

Sadly after building myself up loads, I totally overslept after insomnia kept me up half the night excited. By the time I woke up if I went there, I would have only had about 20 minutes before I had to leave. Will catch one soon though.

The thing is, the Gatehouse is the only real gender neutral club in the North West

To be fair, we can agree and disagree with his opinion, we have been once, it was busy, plenty in the place, but we have to agree that it’s a bit of a mess, there was buckets catching rain water, ripped seats, paper peeling off the playroom walls. It just didn’t look cared for.

Places change too - based on 1 visit, when staff may have been absent, higher attendance rates, more towels could be expected.

It's worth people saying when their visit was too.

I was never going to completely write off a club based on one negative review but it was useful at the time in terms of whether it was worth it for me last night. Definitely going to check it out for myself at some point though, probably a Saturday or a greedy girls event

We have been a few times and a dump definitely isn't a word I’d use to describe it as. The staff are welcoming, the club is small but has always been clean when we’ve been in.

I’ve been to Gatehouse on numerous occasions. Would definitely not call it a dump.

Those in attendance are always friendly. Yes, sometimes it feels like there’s a clique in operation but that’s understandable if you’re a regular and you know the familiar faces.

Me? Didn’t know anyone but people were happy to chat and engage with you.

Had some close encounters in the dungeon, cinema and downstairs but was too shy to take things further. I need to resolve that x

I have had some of the best nights at Gatehouse. Whilst I haven't been for a while, I've seen it at its best and I've seen it at times when it could have done with a bit of TLC.

However, a club is much more than simply the way it looks. The Gatehouse has always been way ahead of its time supporting the trans community.

When I first decided to start living my life properly the gatehouse was a safe space where I was able to be myself and meet other Tgirls and some fabulous supportive friends.

The gatehouse gave me the confidence to be able to go into the world Jemma, socialy and sexualy. It was the first place I was I ever realy accepted and treated as a woman.

I have been to many clubs and lots of events but this friendly, caring and supportive little club will always have a special place in my heart.

So if you don't like it .... well so bit it's probably not for you but there's no need to broadcast it is there ?

If you've nothing nice to say then probably best you don't say anything hun xx

You're not going to let this go are you although the amount of responses are overwhelming for the Gatehouse, you're determined to berate it. Are you on of the people (very few btw) that has been barred and now is your opportunity to try and get your own back. You've obviously an agenda against the Gatehouse. So why not be honest and say what it is rather than saying such bad lies about it?

Just he honest like everyone else on this thread
