Seems this is becoming a pretty popular topic ! There seems to be a lack of clubs or club nights catering for the younger crowd in the lifestyle ( 21 - 40 )

However some clubs are now addressing this which is great news for the younger peeps !!

We are launching a new night in the south west on Dec 22nd ( inbox us for website details if you like ) But the main point of this post is to get a feel from the younger couples as to what sort of things they would like to see or experience at these nights ??

Perhaps more of a nightclub feel ?? Better more up to date music ?? Good lighting ?? Just a few ideas and we look forward to everyones feedback

Hi guys,

We have decided that there is flexibility on the age side of things as we do appreciate that there are couples where one is older than the other so we dont have a problem with that

Would love a club that was 40 or younger, being the age we are and especially Mrs C's age it can be a bit offputting when a 50 year old + is trying it on a club (older than her parents!).

Its the one over riding negative to clubs and the swinging scene to us is that well it seems as if on the whole were just too young for it.

they are not exclusive though, but do have BBW in the name of the event...

There's also Club 2040 at Club Kiss in Southampton for swingers aged between 20 and 40. Next night is Sunday Nov 18 with a movie theme from 8pm

see... i am split on this type of thing...

part of me say "anything that will get more people going to clubs...."

another part of me say " it is quite sad to see people again trying to split the community into little chunks...."

can i ask if younger people are intimidated by older people in clubs... after all... we all use to be new once, and probably a bit younger when we started....

I honestly hope it goes well.... but for me the more swingers fracture into their own little groups... the worse it is for the entire community....

Personally we dont think we are splitting the community at all, simply catering for a long requested type of event

It is all about meeting the needs of the community and having spent a lot of time gaining feedback and doing homework the need is definitely there ! As some clubs are already recognising.

As for the ageist side lol well to be fair the night is not strictly 21 - 40 but aimed predominantly at that age range IE more of a nightclub feel with good music, lighting and atmosphere.

Why not be able to have a good boogie and have sex lol ? ? At the same time if you wanted lol !

As above poster said we hope all the nights go well

Personally whilst younger vs older really isn't my thing at all, I think its a bloody great idea and certainly not ageist or anything ist for that matter, its all about getting people into a club and catering for what people want and in fact if any group has a right to moan, its us slim ones because there isn't a night for us specifically to go is there

my favourite club liberty elite is perfect for youngish swingers in my opinion! Great bar,sexy bar staff,good music and lighting

Okay before I start this I have to point out im not a fuddy duddy but nor am in favour of this. Swingers clubs I've attended gave you the oppertunity to have a bit of a laugh and some banter with both sexes and then a chance for some fun if you clicked.

When you introduce loud music and dancing you open it up to become no different to the syndicate or oceans, whilst also attracting some of that crowd

I love a good dance (the closure of the cooler was a sad day for me) but when I go to a swingers club I want to see if we connect in a sexual/personal way for some fun. Not be subjected to the cattle market some clubs are.

Sounds like a good idea to me.Maybe it does split the community in a way but most clubs have some kind of 'group' that attend and the venues are kitted out in different ways to people's choice, whether it be a sex club,nightclub etc ??

There's some night clubs that play music some love/hate.There are some that have more than one room with different music..

The only thing that would make this one 'fit in' is if it was to be advertised without stating an age but the facilities/entertainment/venue being perhaps more appealing to the younger people.

There's nightclubs that are for over 25's and some are perhaps some known for their merits or downfalls..

Of the clubs I have been to which is a total of 2,one of catered for just about everything with chill out areas,bdsm,different music rooms,stage with entertainers,food,drink,wristbands,couples room where singles could take another single too and it was an excellent night out.

Finances affect things too though so it's unfair to perhaps say a club is 'out of date' but at the same time if people can run a club that's 'appealing' it can prove to others 'it can be done

On the other hand two clubs that I know have music, though piped, and the option to dance (notice the word option) and no one moans about the fact, if people didn't like it they wouldn't go would they.

Years ago, there was a nightclub in Gloucester on two floors; downstairs was for young people and upstairs for the older ones, that floor was always packed and it was great to go to a club and dance to what I liked and I used to go to both floors, I didn't disappear off home with anyone either

Not finding this younger crowd idea good at all personally,no one over 40(like the OP,but im sure they will conveniently allow there self access) no single guys,so basically anyone who suits them,not very inclusive is it? Id much prefer the option of playing with whoever i want at different swingers clubs,all the best anyway with it

Thanks for your comments, to address your points ....

Firstly we are organising and hosting the event so of course we will be there lol, secondly the reason its couples only is by request and feedback that we have had.

Thirdly its everyones personal choice as to what and where they wish to go, we are simply provising another option in the community

At this point this is the majority of requests but if that where to change and enough feedback given then of course we would look to allow a set number of single guys

Okay this what your describing here would be wonderfull and if this is what the OP's had in mind then I have no objections.

What I am mainly afraid of is that the option to dance is taken away because the music is far too loud to do anything else. Like I said before in the previous post, the thing I like about existing clubs is you can chat and see if there's chemistry not just bump and grind and have a souless shag.

think we will have to agree to disagree on this one! For people to ban anyone over 40 from an event when they are 40+over there self is hypocrisy,plus another question that needs to be asked is why the original OP stopped running Carnal at the lodge,be interesting to see what he says??

so bbw nights can only be organised by overweight women? greedy girls nights by a single woman? interacial nights by an interacial couple tv/ts nights, gay nights!! I could go on! think we will have to agree to disagree on this one! For people to ban anyone over 40 from an event when they are 40+over there self is hypocrisy,plus another question that needs to be asked is why the original OP stopped running Carnal at the lodge,be interesting to see what he says??"

To take you up on your points.....

Firstly we run the event and it is our choice who we allow or dont allow into the event, as previously stated the age range is not a strict rule since we appreciate that there are couples where one maybe older than 40 and one younger, therefore there must be some allowance.

As for your point regarding Carnal, it is our event and we choose where and when we hold it and do not need to explain anything regarding that. Carnal has grown and now needs a bigger venue for those that have enjoyed attending , therefore we will be making the next event bigger and better

You seem to be the only poster in here intent on creating negativity regarding our events and our business when everyone else agrees that a younger orientated event is a good idea and supported by the majority , even those out of the age range ?? Perhaps you should be supporting and encouraging any new events that enhance and make the community more accessible instead of concentrating on the negatives

Also while i have no problem with there being more options being made available,i do think people should be made aware of the people running them,and the real reason they stopped doing carnal at the lodge?? couldn't have anything to do with their bad stewardship and bad behaviour towards paying customers could it? Try telling the truth,people have a right to know

Your right you are entitled to your opinion, however useless comments and mud slinging is both pointless and and only creates negativity.

We chose to take Carnal to a bigger venue due to demand simple as that. And whatever so called bad stewardship etc situations happened have been both resolved and dealt with professionally and amicably. Everyone that has been to a carnal event has had a fantastic time and been treated appropriately to their actions, check the reviews if you feel otherwise.

There are quite a few under 35's social events on the kink scene in London. The basic rule of thumb is exactly what you propose, is only enforced informally and works well.

perhaps you have cleaned up your act since your time at the lodge,if not moving to a so called bigger venue wont make a difference

im over 40 and would much prefer to go to a night club than sit at home in me rocking chair doing my knitting and sucking on a mint.equally i know young people that hate going out and act like they are about 90,you aint never going to please everyone.

there are enough clubs around to each hold different events so i dont see what the problem is.You just choose the one that suits you.

personally i enjoy an environment where there is an equal mix younger,older,swingers,fet,straight,gay.its whatever floats your boat x

I'm not sure that this is strictly correct - especially the point in the quotation marks" - " I definitely did not have a good end to MY July Carnal evening, as can clearly be seen from my review left at the time.
