Is Rios open?

We are contemplating the idea of going to Rios on Saturday the 30th Apr.

Just looked at the website and it says reopening 19th July but we are presuming that was from last year.

Secondly is it likely to have many guys attending on the Saturday? Thinking with it being a bank holiday it might be quiet.

Is it open all night again now, and how much is it in this hyper inflation age?

"Saturday evenings is couples only if that's more your thing

We are thinking either the Saturday or Sunday.

We will be there early and staying until probably 8pm latest.

Looking for guys basically so it's when the most guys will be there and also when will be quietest for travelling around London.

Camden council won’t let it run at the old hours. They demand the place is shuttered at midnight now

£16 single women

£40 couples

£40 single men

If you want single guys - the best night is Friday night

So, no more dossing down there for a cheap night's accommodation in London after the couples finish on a Saturday?

Was just thinking that as well. Thought the increase to £32 was substantial enough. This means it's almost doubled from pre-pandemic times

Same as Kestrell/ AbFab (but that has an annual member fee of 15 as well) so I guess they pitched it just below the nearest competition given Rios’ easier accessibility from central London?

. A few weeks ago on another forum about Rios single guys were £32 which I felt was acceptable as for me it’s about 45 minutes away via public transport. Now it’s £40 and I am thinking Kestrels is also £40 and in my opinion you get a lot more from what I experienced one my one visit in 2019 and since then it has only improved. My decision now is do I spend 2 and a half hours getting to Kestrels via public transport or stick with Rios.

I agree that the entrance price is the same as Kestrels. If Rio's thinks they're on a par with Kestrels in other respects, well....

The old kestrels was way better than Rios, so I'd imagine the new one is too, although haven't been yet.

Rios could be an amazing place, especially due to its easy access location!

I hope after the second price rise in a short period of time (if that's true), they will notice that they can still find single guys who are happy to pay a bit more for a quality place if the male/female ratio is not ridiculously wrong.

So they should try to go one more step further. Choose one day of the week when the single guy's ticket is something like £60-£80 but they limit the number of men to make sure it won't exceed women a lot. Something similar to OP4F's Saturday night party when only 5 guys are allowed to approx 25-30 couples.

Call it a daytime party that continues until midnight, put a bit of marketing behind it, and I'm sure it will work out well. At least worth a try, I guess!

They should also launch a revocable membership and single men should be required to be a member to attend this day (they can keep other days for non-members), so you can exclude those who would think paying a higher entry fee means they are entitled for sex...

Both of the venues are amazing. Yes, Kestrels have more play- and club areas, but on the flipside, Rio's is super easy to reach from Central London.

Anyway, first of all, the clientele makes a good place. I went to Rio's twice 7-8 years ago, and the crowd (m/f ratio of 20-1) made me never go back, especially as the reviews here told (and still tell) the same. So it wasn't only about unlucky timing.

If they could sort it out, at least for a day each week, they could easily put themself to the same level as Kestrels - even maybe higher, as (due to my experiences 4-5 months ago when I visited last and what I've read here) the attendance and crowd of Kestrels are not anymore the same as it used to be at the old place either.

It's £32 for single men according to several others who have been very recently.
