Hi folks,

We haven't as yet been to CJs but seems ,from what I can see lots of you good folks have.

Soooooo.. what would be best advice for a couple going for the first time, dos and don't, advice and pointers please,

No replies yet? OK here goes. We're not veterans but remember the apprehension of what was our first visit to such a club.

Its important to know that CJs is like a big house party. Downstairs is strictly social so no sex. Upstairs are all the playrooms.

Heres how we think it all works. People please feel free to chip in ,alter or amend.

Rooms with locks are easy. Its a private room, you enter as a couple or invite people in, close and lock the door, and whatever happens in there is between you.

Open rooms are still invite only, if they have a door, if you close it then anyone trying to enter can be asked to leave, the fact that there is no lock does not mean they can wander in as they please. We notice the DM's are considerate of this and access to the rooms are monitored carefully.

Open rooms without a door are usually for voyeurs and people who dont mind being watched. However, you still have the right to ask people to give you space, and if people are chatting, or being disruptive, you can ask them to leave, its down to you as to whether you stop play until they do.

As for basic etiqutte, as per other posts...

No means no.

People should only touch after confirming its ok.

Talking to people is fine, but they shouldnt take that as consent

It bears repeating it's just like a very friendly house party. People are very courteous and very rarely have we experienced any negative behaviour.

Just look for the two deer in the headlights standing awkwardly, one of them consuming copious amounts of pepsi max that can't be healthy

If you keep an eye on the Scotland forum there's often pre-drinks arranged. Might be nice to meet some folk there before going to the club if you're nervous. They are all very welcoming to newbies. Good luck

To be fair ,I'm fine I'm a cocky git, but wife is a little nervous.

Only thing I would add is it's very much what you make it.

Don't be a wall flower and you will get lots of chat if you sit in a corner and hide unlikely you will

It's never what the imagination can come up with lol think big pub downstairs and upstairs wander about get a feel for the rooms and see what you feel like doing, if you not feeling it can alway head downstairs again for a bit.

Open rooms are open, even with a door you can't close it and make it private so people can wander in and out as they please. Only exception being the couples and female room as single men can't wander in there.

Beyond that correction, you have covered the script very well

In terms of alcohol, you take your own. They will put it behind the bar and give you a wrist band with a number. Everytime you visit the bar, give your number and they'll pour for you.

(Free mixers too)

I went to cjs twice a few years ago. For me the only issue I had was with the accent - I had to listen more attentively but that is because I am south of the border.

Don’t know CJs but had my first visit to a swingers club in Co Durham last weekend. All the above postings seemed to be what worked there. Downstairs is social and sex free; upstairs where any action is. I didn’t really engage but there were far more single men than single girls and only one couple.

I got the impression that as s as couple you could start playing but as s as guy that was impossible.

I endorse above that if you just sit in the corner nothings going to happen that includes you.

I can relate, I work in London and North of England on occasion and I always make and effort to speak slowly or they look at me as if I'm from Mars.
