Taking pictures and videos at Clubs

Hello,

There is a member of Fabs who constantly post pictures and videos allegedly captured at swinging clubs in Britain. My question for those in the know is: how common (or not) do you find clubs goers taking pictures of what they get up to in the clubs? My understanding is that clubs have very strict rules concerning the capturing of photos and videos.

Thanks

I believe most clubs will have some kind of policy about not taking pictures and videos inside, how well that is enforced depends on the quality of the club I guess.

I know our local club is well staffed and very strict about it and anyone caught will get a lifetime ban.

There are extremely strict rules where it comes to mobile phone usage and taking pictures in all of the clubs. You will be banned for life if found to be using it. Saying that some events are specifically catered to allow photos to be taken. I know that Townhouse Wirral have a day event called Focus which it invites photographers and guests to come and take boudoir and fantasy photos. They also do a event called Fierce which allows content creators to take video / pictures and even live stream if they wish. With both of these everyone concerned will sign to where they will allow images of themselves to be used and never have anyone else in them that haven’t agreed.

Do they say they are taken in swinging clubs or is that just an assumption? We, for example, have quite a few things from a certain establishment in the Midlands where we’ve had permission to do so (not a club per se).

If it’s the person I’m thinking of, she specifically says it’s in a club, and has quoted the club too.

Disgraceful behaviour imo.

Unfortunately I've found its becoming more common in clubs that attract a younger crowd, and owners aren't as strict on policing it as they once were. Some clubs are even taking pics for social media in the club (I hope with the permission of all involved) - seen plenty taken from the staff side of the bar. Even know I've been filmed by club staff (in the bar) when a birthday cake was being revealed. Whatever happened to discretion of guests?

Strictly no phones or pictures/videos allowed.

Was at a club last weekend and a young girl was ejected by staff for live streaming on Snapchat despite being told half a dozen times to put her phone away

Just about every club will have a "no video" type notice, or "no mobile phones".

But we have seen loads of people using their mobile phones in the bar areas of some clubs, allegedly as a phone, but who knows if they are actually videoing ? It's usually regulars known to the staff.

Xtasia is probably the best we go to in stopping people taking phones in, they ask you directly have you a phone and even check handbags. They have a secure locker at the entrance for people to leave the phones.
